oh yeah. That dude had some other issues as well from the sounds of it. They said he was showing up and hanging around the set even on his days off during the shooting of Batman...weirding everybody out. A friend of his said he would only speak in character of the Joker. That was even off time.
If you believe in spirits and what not, it's been said most actors channel spirits in order to portray a role of the deceased. Not sure how that applies to the Joker since the Joker is a fictional character so no spirits would be involved, but very creepy stuff if you think about it.
