If only judges, legislators and presidents took that oath as serious as most servicemen.
Let's see. What I've done for my country is pay my taxes, support the troops as well as fellow citizens. Any charity I give to, be it monetary or my time, is domestic.
Much like Fuzo, I've had very close family members who've served proudly, one in Korea and one in Vietnam. I have a few vets here at my nursing home who've served in both peace time and war.
