i dont know about all that, but i can tell you one thing...i establish dominance with the teacher right out of the gate every year!! i'm not saying i go to the class room and piss on their desk, but i go in the first week and i want to see seating charts...i know my kid and you dont. i dont want her/him sitting next to her, her, him or him....i'll tell the teacher where to sit my kid. i tell the teacher what i expect for the year from her/him as well as my kid. teachers know i'm all about capital punishment. i'm not a parent that thinks his kid is an angel...i know better, but in the same respect, if my kid needs additional help so they wont get that D that comes with an automatic ass whoopin, they better supply that help. if it means my kid need too much attention, find a tutor to help! i found out with my older one that this is the way to go....we know our kids. we know, from previous years, who they can and cannot sit near in class. and, believe me, when teachers know the score...they know out of the gate that your holding them, as well as your kid, responcible to do what needs to be done...they have ALOT more respect for you and your kid dont fall into the cracks! try it!

hey Dave thats very cool...many people dont realize what an important part teachers play and the kids have to be around that teacher for many hours, weeks and months...the more involved the parent, the better for the kids..good job!!!

dude...i'm ALLLLL about that shyt right there. too many of these parents think that after they drop their kids off it's the schools problem to deal with them. if teacher only knows how important it is too you....if teachers know that the lines of communication are 100% open and you dont find them to be in suspect, but rather an allie to you in your kids education, you wouldnt believe how well they'll work FOR you!! honestly....thats probobly a big part of your friends kids problems. if she was all over them from the start, i'm sure they'd repond better to the prob. (i have had sim. probs with my son, but they were smashed before i found out!)

They both get jumped by mexicans..LOL...hey, I was getting bullied from elementary school to about 9th grade...I was white and the mexican kids hated me for no reason...imagine walking home after school and seeing about 50 mexican kids running at me screaming blloody murder..the next thing I know, im getting the hell beat out of me from every direction...This shyt went on for years...the good thing was, I started working out to get bigger and my body responded great, by high school I was the strongest kid in the school and was the best player on the FB team....I never got picked on after that..LOL

Yeah, that stuff sucks! I was bullied like hell when I was really young and we still lived in Sacramento. Then, when we moved to Atlanta there was the race issue but I wasn't bullied. By sixth grade I was already 5'8" so no one in sixth grade talked any **** to me. Most of my fights at that point were with seventh and eight graders. Then, we moved again and I had to deal with a few good ol' boys who grew up together. My parents never did anything because I would just fight back. I didn't care how big they were or if I even lost, I never backed down. So, that got me some respect. It's tough because I try to tell my five year old son to just ignore it but I really want to tell him how to put an end to it. He doesn't go into Kindergarten until next year so we'll see how it plays out. He's the tallest kid his age at pre-K and he's stronger than his six and seven year old friends so I'm not worried about him. But, it doesn't mean that some bigger kid won't try to challenge him. I've already taught him how to punch and kick and he is stronger than all his friends when they wrestle. If a bigger kid bullies him and he feels backed in a corner, he has my permission to put the bully in his place. I'm telling you, I've seen him throw punches with this one friend that loves to push his buttons and he knocks him to the ground with some of his punches. Don't get me wrong, I don't think fighting is the answer, but being a doormat is definately not the answer either. This is a dog eat dog world and if you don't earn some respect by defending yourself, you will always be a doormat.

If I was her, I would put him in some kind of self defense class. That is the route I would go as a single mom, if that's the case. Otherwise, dad needs to show him how to protect himself.

1st grade was the only time I went to private school. The rest of my education was in public school. I was picked on because I was too light to be black. Mind you, this was back in the 70's when there was more prejudice. Fortunately for me, the constant bullying didn't phuck me up in the head. At least that's the voices are telling me.

LMAO!!haha...ya, I remember the fear I lived with and sometimes wonder if it left tme totally ****ed up..LOL...just kiddin...But honestly if it hadnt been for lifting weights from age 12 on, I would have been killed in high school...LOL..Thank G O D for Pumping Iron!!!

funny thing, You guys remember walking home from school and seeing a big crowd of kids in a yard with two kids in the middle fighting??..I remember one day, everyone yelling "FIGHT!!!" so I go running to the crow d to watch the fight..well, turns out, there was this mexican kid that I didnt know standing in the middle waiting for ME!!!...the crowd had gathered to watch this kid fight me...Haha..so I jumped in and started fighting this kid...we punched the **** out of each other until someone came and broke it up..Phuck..growing up can be a livving he lll..LOL
