The president can not create new jobs unless he starts a new government project such as infrastructure rebuilding. Approximately 85-90% of all new jobs are created in the private sector. If taxes rates are kept low, companies will have the capitol to invest in new plants, machinery, etc to help with new jobs.
Lowe food prices will be a direct link with lower fuel prices. The price of transportation and harvesting crops is one reason that food prices are rising. Also, since the world has jumped on the ethanol band wagon, it has caused corn, wheat and rice prices to soar. More of these grains are being produce for ethanol production and less is being used for food purposes.
If our Congress would get off it's butt and allow us to drill in ANWAR, off the coast and let us mine the oil laden shale rock in the western states, our dependence on foreign oil would drop, thus lower oil prices. At the same time, we should be developing new sources of energy.
It is not up to the federal government to provide us with schools and after school programs. The Dept. of Education at the federal level should be eliminated. Education should be returned to each individual state.Let each state decide how it is best to educate their citizens. But there should be standards for all the states for education. Maybe this shold be set by the Governors of each state.
But there is no provision in the Constututuion for the federal government to provide for it's citizens education, and therefore should bow out of the education business. I think the feds are part of the problem with all their mandates for No Child Left Behind. Any teacher will tell you this is a problem for all students and school systems. They spend most of their year teaching the test so the children will pass so the school meets federally mandated passing rates to get money.
As for our currency, the value will constantly fluctuate with the world markets and investors buying and selling different curriencies.
As for obesity,it is not the governmnents responsibility to tell you how to eat, how much to weigh,or what you can eat. It is each individuals responsibility to theirself to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you choose to do and eat bad, then you shoould be the one to pay the consequiences. Example: if you drive fast and get numerous tickets, it is you responsibility to pay a higher premium for insurance so you may drive. It should be the same way with health insurance. If you watch your diet and stay healthy, your rates shuld be lower, It you choose an unhealthy lifestyle, obese, smoking, etc, then your premiums should reflect this.
I am not trying to be cruel or cold on this matter, btu why should I live a healthy lifestyle and look after myself, but pay a higher premium for someone who doesn't care about their health?
This nation has become a coutry full of people that thinks the government should look after them from cradle to grave. Anything that happens to them is not their fault and goodold Uncle Sam should fix it for them and send them some meoney for having it happen to them.
All the rest of your requests I pretty much agree with. We do need to strengthen our borders, but we also need a mikitary presence at certain spots in the world for stabilization for us and the world.
OK, I will now depart my soap box and turn it over to the coming rebutals!
Regarding Obesity. I don't think our country is doing a fine job educating certain people on how to at least try to avoid getting to that level in the first place.

All I hear on radio is buy these pills, buy this and that..join this gym...join that gym...bunch of baloney.

They need to start raising animals in a nice humane way and treat them with respect not pump them with "vitamins" and have a **** chicken grow huge over night... that is not a healthy food to eat.

Look elsewhere...mostly the women...esp. Europe all are very fit, slim.

parents need to feed their kids right at home...i told my daughter's teacher that i dont want her teaching nutrition to my daughter...after her intitial shock and i answered the "why?", she got the picture. that's my job. i dont want the teacher to screw up what i've spent years un-screwing. dont teach her that fuked up pyamid or anything else! she dont participate in ANY health class issue's in regards to nutrition. she goes to another class and works on math or english. instead, for a grade, she turns in her meal log eveyday for the teacher to go over and sign....she'll be graded on what she learns from that! if parents get involved, and learn themselves, they can do far better than public schools, inregargs to nutrition.

Why would you want this improved? If I"m not mistaken, obesity is at a rise and will continue rising.

Therefore, it can't get any better than that.
