  • Can I hold my doctor accountable ?

I want to take a shot gun and just blow my doctors head off... STUPID ****

I'm sorry if I sound to aggressive and shiiite but as many of you know from previous threads I started about anxiety and paxil that I've been taking well... my doctor prescribed me Paxil 20mg a day for about 2 months for my stress/anxiety that started to gave me shortness of breath and heart palpitations. Keep in mind that I always received clean bill of health. I have always been healthy. Never broke a bone in my body. Never sustained any serious injury in the gym. I don't know where the anxiety and stress came from but I did suffer from it for a few months...they come and go away...so I got checked up by my PCP (primary care physician) she gave me prescription for Paxil 20mg a day. Paxil is anti-depressant that works for anxiety, depression bunch of other shiite... SHE DID NOT TELL ME THE SIDE EFFECTS AND BRUTAL WITHDRAWLS from this shyt... I never took any SSRI inhibitrors or any anti-depressant. I was never depressed. Never suicidal. I love my life. I tried 2 drugs in my life. And I did bunch of AAS cycles...etc

Can I sue this b*tch for not being a doctor that she should be. I piss on her phD. All she told me was this drug will help you, and if you feel depressed or suicidal give me a call. Paxil did help me with stress and anxiety but the minute you stop taking it ur FUKKED.

If you don't take it for 2 days this is what happens

    - Flu like symptops
    - Extreme dizziness, shakiness
    - Brain zaps. When you stand up you feel like you want to faint.
    - Stomach pains, aches and diarrhea.
    - Weakness
    - Panic attacks
    - More anxiety
    - Vivid dreams
    - EXTREME SWEATING AT NIGHT OR UPON WEAKING UP...FORGET TREN NIGHT SWEATS... THIS IS EXTREME SWEATING

NOT ONCE DID SHE MENTION ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR THESE WITHDRAWLS... I don't know what to do now. I've been on for 3 months. This drug is not addictive but it is addictive physically because u'll be phucked if you don't take it. I am really mad and upset that she is toying with my health. If I knew all these withdrawls I would of never took this garbage in the beginning. It did help but it did way more harm. I am not a type of person to sue anyone but she is phucking with my health and I will have appointment with her ASAP and cant wait to tell her she can take her doctors degree and shove it up her tiny, skinny ass.

sorry to hear about that bro. That suc ks...these doctors are lost without their power to write out prescriptions...thats about all many of them are good at...they simply want to write you a script and get you out the door asap. Good luck...keep us posted how youre doing. You might try some 5-HTP to help with the withdrawals...I wonder if all SSRIs are that hard to quit?

NOPE CANT SUE THE DOC.YOUR SUPPOSED TO WEEND OFF OF THEM. AND READ THE BAG THE MEDICATION COMES IN WHEN THE PHARMACIST GIVES IT TO YOU. THE PHARMACIST ARE SUPPOSED TO ASK YOU DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.BUT AS A CASE NOPE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. WELL AFTER 2 DAYS YOU WILL FEEL BETTER OR JUST GO BACK ON THEM AND REDUCE IT WHEN YOU WANT TO GO OFF

Just ween yourself off. Don't do it cold turkey, you'll be fine but yes I feel the same way about most doctors. they treat people like their all the same.

Re: Can I hold my doctor accountable ?

Deno, the problem is doctors get kickbacks in the form of vacations, dinners, golf outings, etc to push certain meds. my doc has a special day for the drug reps to come in and having an appointment that day sucks ballz. for awhile everytime i went in there i got a script and a free trial of paxil. i have a closet full of the **** that i will never take. my wife ran into the same thing, she'd go in and come home with same sh it. i went in for trouble sleeping. i was always exhausted, always sleepy. i could sleep 12 hours on the weekend and wake up exhausted. she said paxil would take the edge off and help me sleep. i always go to the PDR anytime i am given a script to check it out. i said fock no when i read the paxil info. next visit in she asked about the paxil and i said i didn't take it. she prescribed serzone i believe it's called. another winner as far as side effects. she asked next time about that and i said one of the side effects is priaprism, a painful and prolonged erection that doesn't go down for up to four hours sometimes requiring a painful injection to tthe penis to aleviate the situation. i finally said my buddy has same symptoms and he is diagnosed as having aleep apnea. so i got sent for a test and voila that's it. luckily i didn't take the paxil and sh it. the only med she has given me that helps with occasional anxiety is xanax. it helps, i use it only when needed and even that med comes with a disclaimer that if you ise it for more than a few weeks straight you need to come off slowly with a doctor monitoring it. our state seems to have a huge number of drug reps basically dictating what a doctor should prescrcibe. a good example, valium. a pharmacist pal was telling me awhile back that they came out with a new dosage of valium. you can get generic benzodiazepam in the other doses that valium comes in, as the drug company has the sole patent for five years so generics can't be made for 5 years. so you have 10mg generic valiums. so the reps get the docs to start pushing 15mg valium which is available only in regular form, no generics yet. instead of writing a script for a patient for 10mg valium and telling the patient to take 1 and a half tabs they write the script for the 15 mg tabs. so instead of getting a script with a $10 co-pay the patient now has a script with a $35 co-pay and the drug company gets its profit and if the doc writes enough scripts for it, a nice little weekend get away in aruba or somewhere from the pharmaceutical company. and the pharmacist is barred from telling the customer that they could just basically get generic 10mg's and taking 1 and a half tabs because that would be like disoensing "medical advice". it's a big focking racket.

Our government requires extensive clinical trials for new drugs, in which case there is no guaranteed approval by the FDA. These companies have to make the money back they have spent in complying with government regulations to get the opportunity to get their drug on the market. We are paying for government oversight and authority.
