I always fear power when it threatens individual rights, especially when that potential power is mixed with ignorance and blind faith. Obama is not a leader, because he does not lead; I think it is fair to say most of his supporters could not articulate a rational justification for why they are supporting him. He is a manipulator, so yes i guess if you want to call him a leader you could say he is a leader of fools. Your an intelligent man and your justifications for supporting Obama could be summarized with "he is the lesser of evils, he is well spoken and is a professional manipulator (well you probably would use the word leader instead of manipulator but manipulator is what you imply) and you have hope that those skills will equate to good policies." It will not and he is telling the people that are listening that it won't. So my fear is justified; Obama as president threatens the ideals of freedom that I support.

Do I fear McCain and Hillary, of course but they do not have this cult like following that ignores or attempts to justify serious ideological flaws in their philosophies.

Like Horsepower suggested threads ago; you cannot support freedom and Obama - it is a contradiction. But, then again if you admire manipulation, then maybe you share the same traits - that would be consistent with an elitist as well.

well, seeing as how i have expereinces with cults, i'll say, i totally disagree

seeing as how u have ever met the 13 million who have voted for him, and u generalize and say they are all ingnorant and have blind faith, well, i dont know but a half dozen of us, and i can vouch for only them, how ur thinking about it, is 100% opposite of me, that group think u just wrote about scares me

      how am i wrong????

ummmmmmm, we also happen to be in a demorcracy, they work differently than how an individual might think

ur welcome though to change how folks thinkg and have it like burger king, your way

and, fwiw, he has ver little power

i don't understand folks anger with x, when cheney and bush have violtaed the law six ways to sunday, and yet we know how much is happening there, and how many still praise them

We will start a war, because someone MIGHT, uhhhhhhhhh, game friggin over, every thing after that i don't trust, cause right there brands them as crazy

at least one politician stood up, and said what's what, while he was running for a position

i guess he could be a plant for the tri-lateral commision, the bundi whatever, skull and crossbones

      latah

      manipulation, roflmao

there are only 6.5 billion points of view in the world because each has a uniquely never before expereinced past and future, the only thing i know is mine is mine, i don't presume it is the right one for anyone but me, and when folks think otherwise, well, let's just say, that's fine with me also, i just ain't going down that road, nope never

      good luck

        Re: CLINTON OR OBAMA

one more thing, which i've mentioned before, u tend to the logical in arguements, so every time go thru my stuff, u dismiss the emotional as irrational etc.

how do u think change happens?

ya see, yes we can, we believe we change politics as usual

        some think it's nutty

well so was going to the moon, inventing the telephone

i'm not too worried though just shows u more folks are thinking better

as opposed to your thinking worse of them

Note, you just disagreed with me based on a generalization about your beliefs in cults. Have you met them all?

I have never claimed to have met all of Obama's supporters but it is an accurate generalization to say they have blind faith considering many of his supporters were supporting him before he had even made any statements about what kind of policies he would implement. You can't define that as rational.

Sadly it does seem that way. That is why America was intended to be a constitutional republic, to protect individual rights from the majority vote.

You consider pre-emptive war crazy but you will vote a man into office that will appease our enemies, making pre-emptive war more likely in the future.

Ah, a tactic of a weak position, trying to imply someone's crazy in an attempt to totally dismiss their arguments, regardless of whether their argument is justified or not.

            More contradictions.

Change happens through rational thought. The moon, the telephone, the internet, etc., all scientific endeavors that require an extremed dedication to reasoning. Someone that offered their emotional irrational gut feelings in these endeavors would only hamper the achievement.

Yes, the irrational benefit from the rational and even blame it for the wrongs in the world; doesn't change the fact change and progress come from the rational. Decay and tyranny come from the irrational.

wow...kinda fun reading a persons who veiw's things ONLY from a logical point of view with no room for emotion and a person who thinks and draw conclusions for his views based on feelings, emotions for a person or subject...
