I think you may feel a little different if that was your daughter getting beat up. A lot of people act like they are a "tough guy, or girl" in front of a computer screen. We have to remember not to take such offense in the cyber world, imo.

EXACTLY!! My daughter had a run in with some other girls because she was talkin smack and getting lippy. She didnt get beat down, but it came close. She's kept her tash talk to herself ever since and hasnt had a problem.

true story, about 2 weeks ago, my son and a freind of his was calling a former friend, in school, fat. thats all...they were just riding this kid, who they all used to hang with in 1st and 2nd grade, for being fat. the kids younger brother heard and told his mom. the mom called me....i sat down with my boy (9) and told him how very disappointed i was in him and how "we" dont roll like that. we dont turn on freinds becouse another friend did. we dont spit hate at our friends...he knew i was pissed, iwas embarassedhe, he knew he did bad, and when he was made to stop and think how his "freind" felt about him turning on him like that, he cried. HE ASKED if he could call the kid to appologize....i didnt make him....he did the right thing.
and that was for name calling!! jump another kid with a group of friends?? fuuuuuukkk...might as well not even come home!
those parents need an asswhipping for not teaching their kids right from wrong!

No doubt those parents need to be held accountable and responsible for derelection of parental responsibility... make the parents do house arrest with the kids with an ankle bracelet on weekends!!!!!what a %$@*in crock o $hit...make them sit and think about it for about 12 weekends....and yes, that kid shouldnt have been talkin $hit, but that puinishment didnt match her "crime"...maybe slap her upside the head a few times and scare the **** out of her and thats enough...now that girl cant hear or see well on one side of her head...fuk

my daughter is 17 and i asked her what she thought ....she said that girl shouldnt been running her mouth anyway but that was just what she was doing running her mouth ..she didnt deserve to get beat up by all those girls at one time. she said she was surprised that the girl that got beat up didnt get her friends then come back and beat some ass!
I guess we all have different views on this one. Yeah if it was my daughter things would be different WHY ? because I would teach her not to be tough online because sooner or later things will get to you. What goes around comes around. Believe it or not, I know relationships and marriages that ended up because of Myspace and Facebook. The girl did probably talk a lot of trash about the other girls that beat her down, but I guarantee you - she will never ever try to do bad mouth someone again.
And after all - they are kids for the god's sake. MEDIA likes to make HUGE problem for everything. What the video shows - there is no way in hell that girl was knocked down unconscious and all that stuff. And teens facing LIFE in prison for that... HAHHAHA... I want to see that happen. And to charge them with kidnapping ??? Kidnap means when someone TAKES YOU AWAY and doesn't let you out. To me that girl willingly came to their house - now its a different story that they didn't let her out.

Theres a time and place to open your mouth and theres a time and place to shut up. Spoutin off on myspace is just as wrong as getting beat down for it. If you have a problem with someone take it to them and in all rights it should stay there. Dragging your trash out into public like that is NOT the way to handle things.
