JUST SAW THE PREVIEWS AND i HAVE TO SAY IT LOOKS REALLY BAD!! I THOUGHT THE PREVIEWS FOR THE MOVIE JUST PLAIN SUCK AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THEY WOULD CAST ROBERT DOWNEY JR FOR THAT ROLE.

ANYONE PLANNING ON SEEING IT?

I'm definitely gona see it...... Even if it story and acting ends up sucking ass, the visual effects are probably gona still be good...at least we hope...

I know, I've never been a big fan of Iron Man but I love movies with butt loads of special effects and then I saw that ROBERT DOWNEY JR was in it and not only that but he looked overweight or out of shape, however you want to put it. Discouraged me to say the least. I don't really care to see it now.

I gotta see it... I am a huge IromMan fan.
I think it is odd with Robert Downey JR. But it could make it interesting...
I'll watch it and tell you how it is Merc...

o.k., I stand corrected. I saw an internet pic of the movie and he doesn't look fat or out of shape.

Have any of you seen a purely Iron Man preview. It is strange, every time i see a preview it is a commercial for something else, car, phone, etc.

I'll have to watch it now just to see how much product placement there is; might be kind of like that movie, that Jim Carrey was in, that made a parody of product placement.

Finally saw the movie. They really wanted you to get the idea it took him a while to build and perfect these suits but I liked how they inserted terrorists as the bad guys. There wasn't as many fight scenes as most superhero movies but Iron man was portrayed as a real bad a$$ (and I've never been one to really like Iron Man in the comics); it was a good flick and Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the role.

Did you happen to catch Captain America's Shield sitting on the table during the one scene? I think where he was taking off his suit.

Also, RDJ made an appearance at the end of the Hulk movie saying "we are getting a team together".

I didn't catch the shield but I looked up the hulk thing and supposedly the hulk is suppose to make a cameo in Iron Man 2 (due out April 30, 2010).
