YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO WORK OUT BECAUSE YOU MAY BE IN PAIN. HOW BIG IS THE CYST. HOW MANY STITCHES ARE YOU GOING TO GET.A FEW DAYS OFF IS FINE AND YEAH KEEP TAKING YOUR STUFF. DOCS ALWAYS SAY TO REST THATS ALL.

          Don't push yourself to hard.

I remember a family member of mine that had a cyst removed off the same area. They wound up having to pack the wound (with gauze) because it got infected.

Had acyst removed from the middle of my back. Had to go just about to the spine to get it all. Used a local todeaden the area. Couldn't really feel anything, but cuold hear the sound of the scapel as it cut through the tissue. That made me have a running conversation with the nurse.
Had about 4 stitches. Was a little tender for about 2-3 days.I was told to wait 1 week before resuming my workouts because of the location of the surgery on my back.
Only you will bea able to determine when you want to workout after your surgery
Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!

Take nothing I say as serious, What do I know, I sell water!!

make sure you wear a good thick shirt to the gym especially if you have stitches and a clean towel and even a little can of lysol or something or some alcohol swabs to wipe down the bench after the sweaty dude before you lay down on it. open wound and somebody's bacteria laden sweat is an ideal way to guarantee an infection in your incision, be careful.
You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

like the others said it shouldn't be much of a problem. My best friend had a huge cyst removed from his up spine right near the neck. it was tender but it was in a very none invasive area.

My friend had a similar one done few months ago. He didn't feel any pain as he was numb in that area, doctor told him to wait a week or two before he did exercise but after 3 days he was pain free and went back to the gym. If you don't have any pain, I say go to the gym and just avoid doing lower back. You can still do pull downs, pull ups, etc but nothing that will require lower back muscles.

Also, of course you can continue taking your candy. My buddy was on GH/SLIN and some other stuff.. he didn't stop,.
