    Anybody where one?

It's always a trip to see someone walking by when you're in the mall or some where, and they look like a crazy person just talking away to no one. Unless you realize they have that earpiece thing.
I also get a kick out of the ones that just where it full time. They must think it's cool or something. The middle aged couples that walk into a restaurant in the evening for dinner both wearing matching cell phone ear things is even better. I mean, come on. You're not at work anymore, and you can tell whatever they do can't warrant the need for that kind of immediate attention. I have an image of a couple a year or so back, burnt into memory, that walked into a restaurant in tourist/vacation attire; t-shirts tucked into some dorky shorts, fanny packs and sandals, and they had their matching earpieces in as well. You could tell they just got cleaned up for the evening and part of getting ready was putting that goofy earpiece in.

I realize the safety of using one while driving and so on. I just think allot of folks feel like robocop or future man with it, so they where it full time.

I have a house in NJ, and it's the law that you must use a blue tooth when driving. I think it's a wonderful law. I think every state should pass a law where you can't use a cell phone while driving unless it's with a blue tooth.
However, I also agree, that some people feel totally cool with it on, talking to their families in grocery stores or wherever. In those cases, yes, I would love to shove the blue tooth up their arse.

I user a standard wired headset when I drive. They are going to handsfree here in Washington state (Wired or Bluetooth required).
I have used almost every Bluetooth headgear.. and they all sucked for me. I could others very good.. but no one could understand me. Apperently it has to do with deep voices not coming over the mic's very well.
With that said.. I never wore mine out of the car. it is so gay. And Horse.. you are right, it is the super dweebs that wear them full time. I get a kick out of the white trash Mother phuckers who wear them and walk with their chests puffed like they are someone.. but then you see them get into a Ford Pinto...
My portable navigation system has the bluetooth in it, and I can transmit it over my stereo.. that is cool!

I just bought one. I had a set of wire headset, but it wouldn't work with my new phone. I prefer to use it when I'm driving. I have a Sprint Upstage and sometimes some of the calls I receive are hard to hear, so I got frustrated and bought the bluetooth headset. Now I can hear calls much better. However, I doubt I'll wear it all the time. I feel kind of stupid just wearing it around like those people do.

I don't have a land line at home, so my cell phone is my only phone. I'm hoping it will be easier to keep up with the headset when I'm working around the house.

I plan on getting a bluetooth headset for my husband, because he business is operator from our home... actually he spends a lot of time in his truck. The headset will be a lot better for him.

I had a transmitter for my old phone that worked with the stereo, and I hated it. I got a lot of interference from radio stations on it. It was always in the way of my gear shift. The final straw was when I tried to take the adapter out of the lighter and it broke the inside of the lighter off. Then it would work and I couldn't recharge my phone when I needed too.

yeah, they're definitely the way to go while driving or any multitasking for that matter.

I'm gonna get one for each ear and wear my lighted Tron outfit.

I don't like them and for some reason, I think everyone with them is in some kind of cheesy sales job. lol

I've never used one. It is pretty amazing how far away from your mouth they actually are. I know if i had one I'd be talking out of the side of my mouth, trying to aim my voice at the mic. LOL.

...but yes most the people I see that just keep them in their ear, for some reason I can easily see them dressed up for a sci-fi convention.

                      Re: cell phone ear gear

Driving one handed and holding a cell phone to your ear is dangerous.....often I've seen very erratic driving and find that once I get close enough to give the driver the one fingered salute, they have a phone on their ear and don't even know I'm there.

Although it can still be a distraction, driving and talking on a head set is a significantly reduced distraction.....with voice dial and a blue tooth headset, I feel I'm a pretty attentive driver.

That being said, the head set stays in my truck.....never wear it in public.
