Will the soilders ever get the respect they deserve I mean come on e people the only reson you even have the right to ***** about these stupid f*@!ing things is because of these brave people that gave their lives for our freedom. I surprised they havent taken in *** we trust off our money yet, not that the dollar is worth anything anymore. They dont want any religon on federal property by they are ok with passing their religous and morals beliefs and judgement on me and what I may or may not want to do with my own body? Its time for a change

i agree that there shouldnt be crosses and the like on federal property..it is clearly stated that church and state ar suppeosed to be seperate..most people have forgotten that or they just want their way...i dont like having *** pushed on me or thrown in my face all the time...i respect other peoples religious beliefs and i expect the same in return...

I have a friend on MyCrib & Friend Project. She's only 18 but has already done her time in Iraq. She gets no ****ing respect out of the hicks in the town in Kansas where she lives. When she got off of the plane, they asked her to change out of her fatigues to avoid a rowdy crowd.

Don't these people know that they are fighting for our freedom? It's not her fault that she was fighting, it's the idiot in the White House that started this.

NO, THAT'S NOT THE CASE......the media and schools have deemed the "separation between church and state" however, the consitution does not say this, it says that the government will not establish a religion. On of the issues our ancestors had with European government is, by law, there was a national religion. The first amendment was written to prevent that. For your benefit:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Hearing that phrase constantly in the media irritates me because it couldn't be further from the true philosophy and language of the constitution!!!

You guys know my beliefs about *** but when it comes to this - I say leave it alone. It's sacred ground, not because of the crosses but because of the men. The crosses have been used for many decades and I just don't like the idea of politicizing this issue and potentially moving mass grave stones because of symbolism.

The first Amendment is about Freedom of Religion.

Our legal system and our government is based on the common people having religious beliefs of some sort......when you are sworn in to office and when you testify in court, you are sworn in "so help me ***". Whomever your *** is.....doesn't matter what type of Religion you practice, it is generalized to all. Also, our currency has "In *** we Trust" on it....again, it doesn't specify the Christian ***, Allah,...

The intention wasn't that the two were separate, it was that the government wouldn't set up laws instituting a mandatory religion, or laws persecuting those of a specific religion. This was the issue with the European governments our founding fathers left when they came to the "new world".

I'll get off my Soapbox now....

bro like i said in my previous post..im in the military and ive done 2 tours in iraq..my fathers a vietnam vet and my grandfathers also served in war...i in no way mean any disrespect to the fallen soldiers...ive known a few myself...im speaking of federal buildings..not cemetaries....
