this really isnt a good idea for the situation we are in..this will only hurt our economy in the long run like it did the last time the fed did this..if they want to help us, take off some of the federal taxes on gas, this will effect the prices on everything.

I remember the last time that happened a few years ago - everyone thought those rebates were "free money" - turned out we had to claim them as income on the following year's return....

The plan isn't to give away free money it's to ehlp stimulate the economy...Dem and Rep alike agreed to it...now the ones running for office will use it as fuel for their own agenda but their parties all agreed it's a good idea to help the economy..
