  • My BellSouth/AT&T Saga continues....

    I started this in the Vista thread, but I decided not to highjack FUZO's thread.

    To recap:
    Monday (21st) BellSouth hooked up our phone lines and internet, but they didn't set up our internet on the computers. Went home to set them up, and no go. The account was a complete mess. My hubby had to call customer no-service to straighten it out that was yesterday. Last night I got home and he couldn't get it to work. I tried. Ended up calling tech support. They said our account wasn't activate. This was my husband's account and we were just having the service moved to our new address, so WFT? Tonight when I get home, I'll try again to set-it up... which means another round with tech support.

    I've setup two different homes and my computers at two offices and never had this much trouble getting the internet to work. I'm NOT happy with BellSouth or AT&T whatever they are calling themselves these days.

    They want to charge $100 for one of their tech to come out and install it. That's just nuts!

    DIXIE WHEN I SWITCHED MY CABLE I HAD THE GUY COME OVER AND HE SWORE THE CABLE WOULD WORK AND I ASKED HIM SEVERAL TIMES AND HE SAID NO PROBLEM. GUESS WHAT I HAD A FIT I WANTED TO KILL HIM AND THROW THE COMPUTER THROUGH THE PATIO WINDOW I WAS SO PISSED. BUT REST ASSURE I HAD THE INSTALL MONEY TAKEN OFF BECAUSE OF THE MISHAP THATS FOR SURE

      Customer NO Service

      Well it gets crazier... this is my hubby's account that he's had for 5 yrs. Now they are saying him and another guy have had the same email address. They are saying this is why the account can't be authorized. They gave my hubby a new email addy.

      Then the DirectTV guy came out to install the satellite he says this is a commercial account not a residential and that he's only authorized to do a residential install. After more phone calls to both DirectTV & Bellsouth, he finally got everything straighten out. Turns out the internet can't be install until the DirectTV is installed. I'm not sure what has to do with the other, but I think he got it all work. At least I'll find out tonight when I get home.

      Mean while I still have to fight with Wells Fargo over my home mortgage account that I've had for 6 yrs now. For the past 6 yrs, I've been able to access account info online. All of a sudden, my account can't be found. I was on the phone with them for over 1-1/2 one day trying to get this mess figured out. They switched me to 4 different people and the 4th person was in AUTO LOANS!

      When she realized my loan was for a home, she told me she had to switch me to the home division. I hung up! I'm still dreading to call them back. I need my tax info for the interest.

      Why can't they loose my account all together including the payments due?
