      Re: AIDS

well, the first apartment complex i moved into here in dallas was the housing for a local art college, 90% gals......now that was a blessing of luck, 10% guys, 80% who were gay

since i became great friends with several women who still are my friends i've known lot's of em

i'd say, i've known very well at least five who passed away from it, all within about five years of contracting it, the others, maybe 3-4 are still going a dozen years later

it's a horrific desease, very sad

not to be critical, yet, i'd say 80% who got it were highly sexually active with many partners and no protection

        Re: AIDS

Thats just it, you just dont know who might be a carrier. I never slept with any sleeze bag women or shot dope. back then we thought it was just a gay thing. what pisses me off is the people that discriminate against me still refuse to use protection themselves ! there are a zillion folks out there that have something,.check out any of the "positive singles" web sites and it would blow your mind. these folks are'nt the stereo typical IV drug users or gay. when I first found out I was HIV+ I was kinda relieved actually,..I thought I had some kind of cancer or something really terminal. I knew I had the will to fight it and live awhile, but the thing that killed me was realizing I was going to be alone from now on. on a funny note,..I would rather have HIV than genital warts or herpes,.at least you cant see it and my GF will still go down on me. reguardless it's a real hard thing to live with,.the stigma, the meds (over thousands of $'s a month for some), and just wondering how bad it's going to be when you beging loosing the fight. the dirty and alienated feeling is allways in the back of your head when you're around other people too. I dont know where im going with this it just kinda makes me kinda mad.
