my wife has a durango with the hemi.....gets about 20mpg on the interstate, hasa ****load of power.....and lifetime powertrain...i would buy another one..

why not a crew cab truck?? If you doany hauling or working outdoors carrying material- SUV's get to be a pain. I just bought (April 07) an 07 Toyota Tudra w/5.7L- 381hp/401ftlbs torque- pulls my horses as good as my 03 Excursion w/7.3 Powerstroke.

i call bull****....i have drivn both, and the gas engine for one does not even come close in torque to a turbo diesel. Especially in fuel mileage while under load...you are talking almost 200 ftlbs of torque diffrence in the 2 motors

Something to thin k about are the new full size trucks with 4drs. The V8 engines cut to 4cylinders when you are going steady (highway, city) but all 8 kick in when you need it to.

Just a thought. I have a GMC Sierra and I love it. Have the RhinoLiner, Tons of room and it drive smooth with a ton of speed when I need it (with a few mods I have done).

Just some thoughts...

^I like how vehicles are now doing that, the ummm...minivan ...(kill me) ...has 6 cylinders and drops to 4 when necessary. It actually gets good gas milage

Must not be talking about me... But my Porsche is ALL that. 156mph without having my foot all the way into it.. Nothing compared to a supped up crotch rocket.. but for what one can pay and the quality is AWESOME!
Corners on a dime and leaves those little rice burners in the dust.
Had some dumb ass rollup to me in a Honda with those stupid coffee can mufflers and put some throttle on... sounded sick... I just sat there and when the light changed.. I roared. These kids.. a muffler and fake rear spoiler doesn't make your car fast! LMAO!

Oh... and I hate people who think they are all that just because they have a Porsche.
I am a driving enthusiast.. Love to drive fast. Cornering at 100mph is such a rush.. feeling the car hug the road and do what it is built to do.
