Ford changed the game with the modular power plant. 300,000 mile domestics. The domestic giants have always been ready for the crusher at 100,000...not anymore.

i got 2 domestics in my back yard that both have over 250,000 miles on them...same engine in both, but the chevy i rebuilt the tranny...the ford, just common things like starters, alternators,ect...they re both 4x4 trucks too.my dad also has a few old chevy trucks with well over 200k on them...if you cant get over 200,000 reliable miles on any car, you are mistreating it and not performing preventive maintenance..

i agree 100%!! i've seen MANY 200k plus domestics.
