    The best FTA HD Reciever all u need is a dish installed

    How many of you pay for Dish Network or Direct TV ? They can get expensive when you get a couple movie channels and PayPer View ,Adults channels ,ect . The Sonicview 8000 HD reciever is all you need .I got mine off of ebay for alittle over $600 wt 8PSK Q-Board (must need it to view HD channels get channels from DN) Just like the scrambler box that you used to get back in the days wit cable .I got 2 dish pointing the 61.5 dish is for HD and the Dish Pro 500 picks up 110 and 119 sat signals .....OVER 1500 ch ! Whenever the Dish Network puts the scramble (code) the recievers goes down but the board is awesome they get it up and running right away .When it goes down they put codes and this board always puts it up right away just download the file (upgrade the new bin) unzipp it then put your USB flashcard in and upload it then take it out ,and put it in your reciever and upload the new file .I bought this before football season and havnt paid FTA means Free To Air and is legal to have (reciever) but is not responsible for 3rd party which is the files you download but you tell them its for testing purposes only Here is a great board to join to get the new bins and reviews and stuff . www.ftalife.com

    Thanks ro. My boy is a big time programmer/hacker. He used to reprogram the dish network cards back in the day. Now he has the FTA box. I'm moving into a new pad pretty soon and I've been thinking about getting one of those FTA systems. I wasn't sure which is the best one.

      Well I had the Coolsat 7000 one at my store and works and support is great for a none HD reciever .I paid about $190 wit shipping .Now on to the HD reciever the Sonicview 8000 is the best one to date from what people have tested so far .Make sure you get the 8PSK Q-Board its a module you have to put in the reciever which is easy to do they show pics of it how to dummy thread .The board is great just join and look at the reviews of each reciever .It is ridiculous what they charge for all the good channels the reg dish service is 200+ ch of .HBO SHOWTIME gonna come out wit alot more HD channels + Payper View HD awhh Im a couch potatoe now .

        I am a little confused, so you pay for basic tv with some satellite company? And then this box unscrambles what the sat receives so you get basically a huge tv package for the price of a small one? I am about to learn all about this stuff.

            Nope .....nada ! If you have a dish set up already pointed all you need is that reciever wt new bin .So I pay nothing but when they scramble the channels again thats when you put the new bin in (update it from the board) www.ftalife.com Its free ,great board ,great support ! The way you upgrade it is with a usb 2.0 flashcard which comes wt reciever or just buy one pretty cheap $20 .Then once you upload (unzip it to the flashcard) the new bin put it back into the reciever and upload it .

            I dont have Direct Tv or dishnetwork but if you do cancel it they usually let you keep ur dish up in case u want to subscribe to them again in the near future .If u dont have a dish setup I would hire an independent dish installer to get the dish pointed at the right sat .

            Make sure you read the forum rules before posting they use terms like DN ,BEV ,CHARLIE .They have couple FTA recievers out Sonicview 8000 is the best HD FTA they have to date ,Coolsat 7000 is another great reciever for a non HD .Pick n choose look at the reviews section GL

              Cool. I'll get my friend to set the stuff up. His ex-roommate was addicted to the Brazilian porn channel!

                Brazilian porn channel Just make sure you know which dish u want to point .The 61.5 has lots of middleeast / asian channels .I get spanish playboy havnt found brazilian porn yet
