Texas man shoots and kills 2 burglars

This is whatcha call neighborhood watch. The old man noticed his neighbor's house being robbed and did something about it. On the page this link takes you to is a player that you can click on to hear the 911 call the 72 year old man made while the ordeal went down. The call he made while it was going on is there as well as the call he made right after he busted their asses.
I saw it on the news and it looked like a nice nieghborhood. Looked like houses in the $300,000+ range from the glance I got.
That will make thieves think twice. Wheather they're packing or not, they never know what neighbor has a bead on 'em.

I don't know. The law reads in his favor. You can use dealy force to protect yours and or your neighbor's property.

Well, I would be willing to bet his neighbors help him get the best lawyer in 'they' can afford because he did the right thing. This is what America needs, more good ol' boys taking things in their own hands. The criminals would think twice in some cases.

oh yeah!..Listen to the 911 calls. He knew his rights. It was a dream come true for him. He probably has been robbed one time or another. I think about everybody has. I got my damn chainsaw stole right out of my carport the week I moved into my current house 4 yrs ago. When we closed on the house, I took a week vacation to get the place looking half decent and one day I was trimming some stuff up with the chainsaw, and left it in the carport that afternoon. I forgot to put it in the shed, and the next morning I went out there...gone. Bastards...how the hell ya gonna take a man's chainsaw. A piece of equipment that you work with and worked for. I think I might have barked the Mossberg. Maybe just bust some legs over the chainsaw.

must be. Some dumbasses took my wifes lawn chair just a couple months ago. She was outside talking on the phone. She came inside for about 10 minutes and when she went back out, it was gone. That was wierd. Who steals a fukin beach chair? I figured it may have been some of the punk skater dudes in the neighborhood. Like a prank type thing. Little dipshyts.

I don't know. The law reads in his favor. You can use deadly force to protect yours and or your neighbor's property.

Unless however, they were fleeing. Then it would be a problem since they are no longer a threat.

yeah, that's one way to look at it. I was thinking about closing the carport in for my smith machine and bench, etc.. Put a big tv with sound system in there too. Turn it into the guys hang out. I'm gonna get rid of most of my work out equipment anyway though because it just don't workout for me to try to train at home. It takes alot more motivation and dedication really because of the interuptions and all. I gotta get back in the gym. That's the only way for me to really get out of it what I want because I'm a machine in the gym. When my construction venture was peeking 2004-'06, I didn't have any time. It was like constantly work...work, work, work, business, biz, biz...So I got a home set-up to fit in workouts when I could. Ever since I stopped going to the gym, my stats have went down. The gym is the way to go for me.
