The other I'm thinkin about is a 55 chevy delivery. It's got new disc brakes, fairly new paint, power steering and a 350 with "low" mileage. Not sure what type of trany it has but I'm waitin to hear back from him.
I'm also really diggin this, it's a 70 Nova ss for 14k. I'm not crazy about he color, but here's what the seller says about it:
THE ENGINE IS A BUILT 350 WITH A EAGLE CRANK SHAFT, ROLLER ROCKERS,DUAL LINE HOLLEY, AND HOLLEY ALUMINUM HEADS. IT ALSO HAS POWER STEERING, FOUR WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES, POSITIVE TRACTION REAR END, ALUMINUM DRIVE SHAFT, AND A GRIFFIN RADIATOR. IT HAS WHITE LETTER TIRES AND BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN RACING WHEELS. THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL NOVA IS GREAT IT LOOKS AND RUNS WELL.
the nova's the way to go if you dont want to jack around alot with fixing something up!! it's basicly done already....if not, that sw could be cool as hell
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
That's a steal on that 39 Buick isn't it?
The Buick seems to be the easiest project, as you could probably dig into 50 things imediately.
That wagon is badass too...but, damn, the Nova is rockin.
uhhhg, I'm torn. I'd be looking for something that has potential of scatt'n ass easy. The Buick would need too much to get it how I wanted. That leaves the wagon and Nova. I don't know...whichever one is calling your name louder and has the better motor. You found some honeys.
Here ya go. Get that '39. Flip it and make 15k or so. Then get ya a hot-rod and you'll be able to get the drivetrain set up snug as a bug because you're up 15thou. You can use that to get about 600-700hp to the ground so that sled can keep up with late model mucle. The boys get to learn all about forged bottom ends, blowers, and why NO2 does what it does...Good stuff..healthy fun.
don't buy i numbers matching car if you looking for something to work on leave those for the more hardcore restorers. if you are wanting something to turn some wrenches on and get your hands dirty why don't you buy something in a little rouger shape all these cars are in good shape and don't need much. by the way the tranny is probably a turbo 350 trans they have been using that trans forever
