It's probably because of waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation techniques he allegedly approved in 2002 that are causing a little stir now.

The geneva conventions protect uniformed military combatants. These al-qaeda are so cowardly, they hide behind women and children, use churches as hideouts. We are bending over backwards to not offend them,,,we have iraqis go in to the mosques if necessary. It is amazing that the liberals want so badly for us to lose this war. Have you forgotten about the 3000+ US citizens killed on 9/11? You are actually defending saddam hussein, pigmeat and yet you condemn Bush. DJ..you compare Bush to ******...you know who else does this? Ahmedinijad of Iran and bin laden. Does it bother you your are aligning yourself with bin laden? you want us to get out of iraq..so does bin laden. You people never answered my questions...what WAR CRIMES has my President committed? I want you to specifically answer that for the room...go ahead (be sure to check your homepage---moveon.org---to get your facts straight..amazing. Love it or leave it boys!! I for one SUPPORT our troops and their mission. I would like to see a free iraq (the surge IS working--violence is down by all accounts-the fewest troop casualties in 18 mos this Oct); I also want a PERMANENT US base in iraq after this is over. You want Iran to "wipe Israel off the map"? Those are Ahmedinijad's own words. We are going to win this thing and establish a watchdog base over there just like in germany after WW2, with or without you milksop liberals..why? because our military and our PRESIDENT has got backbone and conviction. He has committed no crime other than forcing the dems to show their yellow bellies.

Pointless, pointless, pointless! It's pointless to explain anything to you on this subject because I have 10,000,000,000,000,000 times and you still haven't understood what I've said. I've answered every single question you asked a million times over.

What did Bush do??? HMMMMM....caused 9/11, invaded afghanistan to bomb a pipelin for haliburton, invaded Iraq for their oil and to get a foothold in the middle east, made the "patriot act" which is a huge violation of our constitution (but apparently to true patriots like yourself the constitution only needs to be abided by periodically), 3000+ camera's going into NYC (which never would've been allowed before 9/11), illegal wire/phone taps, killing thousands of american troops for his own personal gain, killing thousands of innocent Iraqi's for his own personal gain........... I think I've made my point!

Let me guess....you'll say that we're liberating the Iraqi's right? Yeah by killing them off! But they are expendable right? They do have a different colored skin and all When will people like you get that our government and bush doesn't give a rat's azz about Iraqi's? They don't even care about their own people, yet you expect me to believe they care about Iraqi's!!!! WOW!!!

Even if Bush came out and admitted this all, you'd still be in denial. You'd probably say that he was forced to admit it, even though it's false.

Re: Bush Pardons himself from war crimes

I think supporting the troops and supporting the war are two different things, and love it or leave it? So did you immigrate the US when one of these "milksop liberals" like Clinton was in power? What a democracy does when it does not like its leaders is they change them! You don't just give up and leave the country.

Now what did Bush do that can be considered illegal? When the commander gives orders for something to happen (torture, invasion of privacy, and by extent murder) that person is responsible for everyone that carries out those orders. Why would Bush go and try to get this pardon in place if he did not feel he needed it?

There is no absolute good versus evil in this world and to say agree with this or you must be the enemy is a fanatical veiwpoint, one that I may add is held by other such extremists!

Re: Bush Pardons himself from war crimes

DJ...so Bush caused 9/11? Hmm..interesting. How convenient...al-qaeda, and its leader that has vowed destruction of the US sends a group of guys in and bombs us in a nefarious attack; this leader is sheltered by a group in afghanistan (the taliban)..Bush gives them fair warning to give bin laden up..they do not..we go in and (with assistance of Musharrif) take them out while searching for bin laden (was this when halliburton got their money?)..
The wire taps--do some research...Bill Clinton did similar wire taps back in the 90's...and if you think the NSA and CIA havent tapped phone calls through the last 50 years with the cold war, etc. you are completely insane.
Please, explain to me how "killing off iraqis and Americans for personal gain" works..what is President Bush gaining by "killing off" these people?
Its ridiculous that you guys make these broad statements like "killing thousands of people" for personal gain and do not specifically state what his personal gain is. Is it oil money? Ill bet thats what you think it is, isnt it? Bush, Cheney, and the "council of 12" are sitting up there curling their mustaches arent they? Here's the plan boys, lets bomb NYC, attack the middle east, put 130,000 troops in play, develop the DHS..also, we'll try and kill New Orleans with Katrina, we wont sign the Kyoto treaty so the world will heat up, all so we can make millions. Sounds like a plan, boys. Sounds a lot more reasonable to me that a bunch of islamofascists happened to get it "right" and attacked our country and now we're kicking butt. Yeah, sounds more reasonable to me. Im not so paranoid..stop drinking the coolaid, man.

correct me if I'm wrong DJ, but I've came to conclude DJ to be for the right. He has just been heavily influenced by the masses of media. Not meaning "media" in that way DJ, but media as in literature, books, movies etc..., that tells tales of corruption and conspiracy of our government which is also the media that the far left loves.

As I've said before, it's merely pointless to debate with you because It makes me sound like a broken record. I keep repeating the same thing, and you keep coming up with the same candid responses that the media has obviously instilled in your brain.

I think I've explained how bush caused 9/11 a million times now. I'm almost positive the majority of the members here could almost recite what I say about 9/11, because I type about it so much.

Let me ask you this question PL.....

Is someone that questions their government and their actions less of a patriot than someone that doesn't question their goverenments actions?

I ride the fence more than anything. As Ron Paul I'm a constitutionalist. I believe our country should abide by the constitution without question. It was setup to protect the people from a controlling government. Unfortunately there are way to many people today that willingly give up those same rights, that many died to give us for that "200 year old piece of paper" (as Bush calls it) before it was drafted.

Then these same people claim they are patriots because they blindly follow their government and allow them to violate said piece of paper as they deem appropriate, while anyone that opposes the violation of it is considered to not be patriotic.

In other words this countries views for the most part are azz backwards.
