Background Check for a job

Hey gang,

I recently got a killer job offer and I'm wondering what background companies or sites that an employeer would use to do a background check? Does anyone know of a reputable company or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are tons out of businesses out there that do the checks. usually they use a business not a site. they will run your name and social security number in all the areas that you list. Usually its to see if you have any felonies on your record. The company that I once worked for we found out all types of info on people and records that they had. Why bro?

Well I know that they run a criminal background check and will run my credit because that is on the application. I have a dui out there and that was never mentioned during the interviewing process and subsequent talks before i was made the offer. I'm curious to what actually shows out there on me and how they might view it. This is a solid 6 figure salary plus bonuses and there are many opportunities for future growth. I'd just like to know what they will find out... wouldn't want to be surprized.

They will find out if its been under 7 years but it depends on how extensive a search it will be. Most businesses only do a 7 years search for some reason but it just really depends...

we do back ground checks for criminal, driving record and credit, for potential students...we use a company called screening one. we have a truck driving traing school, and the company's we job place students with want to know what kind of person there getting. if you have a dui EVER we pull it up. if it's over 4 yrs old, your usually fine

Thats what pisses me off big f'ing time ! Alfonzo the Illegal can just waltz in and score a job, and I get s#it canned because I have a felony from some twentyone years ago. who knows what the hell he did back in his country ? hell I speak english like a champ, have killer work ethic and skills...and no one wants to hire. not even in a damn nursery out in the sticks cause of my two decade ago past mistake and HIV ! thats ok piss on'em all,..im happier and make more money now without having to kiss someones ass and have a microscope up my ass 24/7. sorry for going off,..the top came off my shaker bottle and I got sticky chocolate s#it all over the kitchen this morning. lmao!

If it's a government agency where you will have access to sensitive or classified/proprietary information, then the DUI can be a problem. If it's just a normal company with no driving involved then you should be fine.
