  • Why I love working out

No matter how lazy/tired I feel before I go in. No matter if I feel like crap/depressed mentally. After I get done I feel great. I swear the gym keeps me sane.

I work out to look and feel great. Those are the only 2 good reasons, and I dont work out for anyone to impress. I know alot of pieces of crpa here that work out to fit in.

To me the looking good is just a bonus. I think it is a great way to keep a nice balanced life.

Speaking of lifting to fit in. I normally don't working out late at night but did tonight. There was about 10 kids in the gym. All around 15-16 yrs old. They were loud and had nothing but bad forum. Only two looked like they were there to really lift and the others were there to fit in and look cool. Couple were flexing in the mirror showing off there 13" arms. I just had to laugh. Then I had to yell at two of them for getting in my way while I was doing a set. Pissed me off and I think I scared em. :2gunsfiri

Fit in?!? I've got to get some new friends. Mine always want to go to happy hour. I'm friends with a bunch of smoking alcoholics. Some go to the gym, but not seriously or continually. They wonder about me wanting to "torcher" my body instead of my liver. But at the pool they wish they had gone with me a few times more. I love 'em thow. They know how to party.

I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't work out and let all the excess energy out. Plus, watching the girls on the gliders is a bonus.

i agree completely user, on my two days off a week from lifting im irritable and lazy and i feel like crap. sometimes ive gotta stare at the weights for a minute to get me motivated to push them , but i always feel better for doing it.

I only strength train in a gym twice a week {once every 4-5 days} for the health benefits... to build skeletal muscle & increase bone density.
I prefer to keep a feminine appearance, although my skin fits good soOo muscle does show.

I would go CrAzY if I wasn't able to run, go hiking or do any kind of cardio work out to let out all the excess energy.
