Consider that the $275 Billion road and transportation bill was loaded with $64Billion worth of "earmarks" last year. These were pet projects that had nothing to do with roads. Just pork barrel stuff attached onto the bill at the end to make the folks back home happy.

Oh, and your michigan guy got millions and millions for his home state, not ONE PENNY was spent on motorized transportation improvement. He spent it all on bike and hiking trails, and some study of a rail system.

We have all the gas tax money we need. these politicians need to quit blowing it all on junk and spend it correctly.

no question!!! it's unreal the amount of money raised and blown in this state. right now, every major highway in this state is under construction. i am not exaggerating, all of them. and NOT all of them needed work! they pushed up road construction jods that were scheduled for YEARS from now!!! in the mean time, we got bridges in detroit falling down!!
