some mich. state rep., dingall dorf (actually is his name, dingall) is proposing a .50 gas tax increase in mich. the state that has the highest gas prices in america (currently, in my area at 3.09-3.19 a gal)...he believe's that it would push people to buy more gas eficient cars...more "green" cars!! he's running around saying "look at europe, they pay up to 9.00 a gal, thats why they all drive small cars"...and it's a wonder why everyone is moving out of the state? this is so stupid!! i cant believe this clown!

.50 seems like a huge raise, even 2 cents is high for a tax increase, and as far as europe goes their public transportation is 10x more efficient then ours..
we have the technology to make fuel efficient cars -and automobiles that dont require gas, "we're" just too invested in oil to make the change

Sorry fellas......I filled up at $2.53 a gallon yesterday here in Phoenix. It was nice but it wont last long...f*in politics!
