This is just awful! These people were just drivign home from work and the damn thing colapsed. Now, the messed up part is that a company, or the state, was working on the bridge making repairs. If those people jeopordized the integrity of the structure while they worked on it, that state is going to get sued out the ass, or the company that was doing the work. I don't know why they didn't just shut one side down and work on one side at a time. From what I gathered, the side that was being repaired is the side the broke. Those poor people who drowned in their cars....man....that sucks!

thats just an awful and rare way to pass.. i get the chills everytime i go over a bridge for this exact reason..stuff like this makes you realize you can die anytime with out warning and to appreciate every minute

^ I saw it when it first happened....even tho I cross 2 bridges daily (a 1 mile and a 3 mile with huge/tall spans) and have done so for over 30 years....I cant even imagine them collapsing while on them. But I have thought in my head many times, what would I do if something happened.
