Re: Cell phone tapping???
Ummm....I'm going to have to call BS on that. How can a microphone that is not powered up receive anything? That just doesn't make sense to me. If that was the case, then the phone would lose power even when turned off. Also, I have a flip phone and people can't hear a thing I'm saying when the phone is slipped down. This must be something that worked on old school phones because it doesn't make sense on new phones.

Re: Cell phone tapping???
We have cell phones that have a tracking system called Telenav. It is a GPS positioning program. IF the phone is powered down, the program will be off and we will be alerted via email. We can enter the program from our computer and restart the program on the cell phone even if the phone is still powered down.
Now I don't know how a phone that is not powered up can be started and hear anything through the microphone. Seems a little far fetched to mePush it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!
Take nothing I say as serious, What do I know, I sell water!!

Re: Cell phone tapping???
They acutally had a lady here is washington that was being stocked by the use of her cell. Conversations were taped then then person would call and leave it on her voice mail. The conversation was when the cell phone was off. I guess there is some type of device where the person can turn watch for a cell phone to be used and then once the device has the phone address or something it can then be controled by the device. Kind of like when you call support for your computer they can take over the mouse and see everything on your computer.
When you break everything down a cell phone is never really off unless the battery is out of the device. With the battery in you can look at it as binary codes with 1's and 0's. O's are being sent to the processor but power is still bein exchanged waiting to you turn the phone on.
