negative people

we all know them, you work with them or they hang out with one of your friends on the weekends.

i have one at work i just wanna kick in the teeth every time i hear about a stomach ulcer or money probs or the wife isnt treating them right, ect. this person just dosnt seem happy unless they are complaining about somthing bad.

how do you deal with them?

i am at my wits end. they are just an asswhipping to be around and i am done, i dont care if i hurt their feelings

I would just ask him "aren't you ever happy?", or you could just scream out "god damn! you b!itch more than any woman on earth, how bout you quit being such a pooc and man the fukk up a little?' Either those or just ignore him.

I LOVE THOSE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude, why dont you see them for the gift's they truly are!! the real bad ones, i'll keep a piece of rope in my desk, done up to look like a noose, and when they come in my office, bleeding shyt all over, i take it out of the desk and say "here...you need this alot more than me"..!!! (razor blades work as well, but aint as funny)

or, when they whine to someelse about money, i'll walk by and say, "oh, thats why you havnt baught a bullet yet" and keep walking...that one takes a minute, but the guy he's talking to will explain it to him.

and sometimes i simply tell them..."brotha...i'm SOOO glad you work here. no, realy,..you dont realize how much i need you. if it wernt for you in my life, i'd truly not know how FUKED up my life could be...thank you and walk away

Oh man, I personally think that God puts people like that in my life as a test of my character. We have some friends at church that literally drive us crazy, but being aroudn them stregthens are ability to handle stuff so we 'try' to look at it that way. I say 'try' because it is very difficult. Now, in my personal life, I will not hang out or spend time with negative people because they bring me down. I don't spend time with lazy people or people with no direction either. I try to spend time with people that motivate me in certain areas. There is always someone who is better at something that me and I use that to motivate me. This person can be a test of your patience or it can be a person who simply just needs a friend. Sometimes you have to be willing to just be there for someone even if it makes you want to pull your teeth out. That, in the long run, will make you a better person. Once you establish yourself as a 'friend' you will have earned the right to begin to suggest a change in attitude. You could very well be the person who truns this person's attittude around if you are willing to take the challenge.

Or, you could put ex-lax in their coffee every morning so they spend most of the day in the bathroom.

i need to get back to work in an office with one of those...i got mr happy working with me now...dude spent 8yrs locked up, so he's happy to see the sun rise!! he dont see the glass half full. he see's it OVER FLOWING!!!

OH MY GOD! i work with this lady that is unphuckingbelievable. she *****es about EVERYTHING! she's even really rude to customers and they don't say ****. i know if i walked into a place to buy something and the person at the desk was rude, i'd say something. "uhm, excuse me, but did someone piss in your wheaties lady? why are you being so rude? do you hate your job that much?" but no, people just let her talk that way. i've said something to managment...but she's still here. she also wears glasses, and you know how when people wear glasses and look up with the their glasses at the end of their nose and no matter their mood, they look pissed? well, add a legitimate pissed woman looking at you liek that, wow! she's like in her mid 50's, stuck in her ways, about 4'11" and 180lbs, a perfectly round circle. smokes 3 packs a day. god, one could make one hell of a reality tv show out of the place i work.

I can't stand to be around them, Daved sounds like he could turn the situation enjoyable. I got some laughs out of his suggestions. I noted some of those for when my neighbor from London gets back from his 2 week family vacation they took to London. He's 27 going on 60. He's like a grumpy, set'n his ways, ex-English skinhead. He's alright though. They're on what some would refer to as a dream vacation, taking a 7 day cruise on the QE 2 back from over there and I bet he'll have more bad things to say about it than good. I'm getting my noose ready now.

dude...i'm telling ya, you can make it the highlight of your day!! believe me...i wish i could remeber all the shyt i've done to those types...in fla, we used to call them "black asses"...the type of guy's that would just spread there cancer through my sales force. you had to nip it in the bud, and make it light hearted for the other sales people so they wouldnt "catch it" i'd be with a couple other sales guy's at the sales desk, and this one dude would walk buy and i'd say "hey, chief dark cloud, of the blackasz nation, you gonna sell somethin so you can buy that bullet today?"...or, if he was standing by the sales desk, blacking out another sales person, i'd look like i was rummiging around looking for somethng and say "hey!!! who took my fukin noose?!!" everyone would look at him!! lmao...it was great

that's something else man. I know the type, I mean we all do...that's the thread but you do have them beat. Every work-place has them, and they can infect the whole team. They'll have everybody down and bytchin about this and that if you let it happen. Excellent way to handle them. I would think you would even chear them up, but actually they're usually the type that can't see humor in most things normal people do.

Another thing to say after they get done complaining would be "That's too bad. What do you plan to do about it?"

Unfortunately, most of the time they won't have an answer and this will affirm your suspicion that they are only happy when they are *****ing. If they come up with an answer tell them to "GO F*CKING DO IT!".

People have more control over things that they think. They just need to get off of their ass, stop complaining and making excuses, and take care of business.
