so, IF ron paul won, the whole of congress (or, atleast the majority) would be voted out and removed, to be replaced with more like minded ron paul's....yea, ok. good luck with that one. i see were your going with this. i understand. your saying, were he to win, then obviously the american people led him to that win becouse they want the change that he represents, and after they were done with that change, they'd make a change (2-4 years later ) in congress....sounds good on paper, but i find it hard to believe that one would lead to another, or you'd have republican pres. w/republican house and vise vera, more often......one dos'nt really lead to the other....he'd be castrated in office.

No, what I'm saying is the same reason you say he would be blackballed is the same reason he will not be elected. I think before a candidate like Ron Paul was elected to the presidency, you would see a trend in government of pro-freedom politicians. I'm not saying one leads to the other, I'm saying you could see a trend and not just ***poof*** an extremely libertarian candidate wins the presidential election without any trends pointing to that.

If he were elected our people and government would already be ready for a candidate like him. He would have support.

who will shut him down??!! is this a trick question? how about his NOT getting support, that he'll need, to get things passed...they (politicians) have proven to be resouceful at shutting down who they want to. you think they (all other politicians) are gonna let ron paul reach in their pocket and grab fist's full of money?? c'mon solid...you know better.

i thought you were referring to him being shut down by media and not getting elected..Well, other politicians will not let ron paul shut down lobbyists but if corporations were people and not entities, lobbyists wouldnt exist legally, thats what i was trying to convey.

I agree with you klash..the current govt reflects the people in a sense..although you cant change things directly and quickly, to an extent eventually the govt will reflect what the people want..
