if thats what the patiants want, and they did leave video testamony saying that they indeed wanted that, then i dont see a prob!!! it's legal in other states and there hasnt been a prob, so why cant it be legal here?HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

I don't know. A physician takes an oath, this oath does not include assissting suicide. Now if some yahoo wants to do it, then I say don't be a pooc and involve someone else just fukkin do it. Now that's not to say that I believe in it, but it's certainly your right to kill yourself.Comment

Tough call. A doctor is supposed to save lives, not take them so from that point, I say no. But, if a person is in severe pain and they want to go, they should be able to go. The question is, who should be able to make that call. I can't imagine the family of some person in severe pain would want their family member to go through that crap. Seriously, how damn selfish do you have to be that you would not let your family member die if they are in pain? I would never ever want a family member to suffer just so I could see them, never. I would want them to go be with God and I'll see them when my time comes. I don't know why these people don't just have their family take them off the machines or whatever to let them die. I guess the issue is, what if the person is not on death's bed but in severe pain.....then, no matter how you slice it, it's murder. So again, it's a tough call. I personally don't think I could help a family member kill themselves, I just don't. It's one thing if they are on machines to stay alive and I know they wouldn't want to live that way, but if they are able to function but in severe pain all the time, I wouldn't know what to do.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

PEOPLE SHOULD MAKE "LIVING WILLS" WHEN THEY ARE OF SANE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT OF HOW THEY WANT THINGS TO BE WHEN THE TIME COMES. THEN YOU DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS. YOU GIVE COPIES TO FAMILY MEMBERS AND ITS DONE THROUGH A LAWYER ALL LEGAL

dude, these people were sane. these people made concience (sp?) decissions to go through with it. they video taped it, had lawyers write it up and in most cases had their loved ones there with them till the end. it's just NOT legal in mich. under ANY circumstances. it's legal in oragon (i believe) as well as other states. he (dr death) acted on the patiants behalf...dosnt matter in this state about your pain, your will, your wants or anything else...it's illegal. it needs to change!Originally posted by O2BESOHUGE View PostHE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

Some people just dont want to suffer anymore. they are fed up with being on tons of meds, having someone else bathe them and whipe their ass. not to mention the loss of self worth and LOTS of pain. Again,..these are stuffy assholes who dont have a clue as to what these people are feeling ! true, medics are there to save lives. but if someone is in their sane mind and their is no damn hope,...then let'em pass. I know personally of people who have a DNR request. Look, if I have a stroke and am paralyzed or am bed ridden,...im not going to go through all that either and go out that way. course being overly optimistic and Catholic kinda screws me on that one.lol! there was a movie back in the day with Richard Dreyfus,..he was all of a sudden paralyzed from C-4 down. he didn't wanna live like that, he was just going nuts not being able to move...but they would just give him a shot whether he wanted it or not to shut him up. it was like tourture ! Our lives, our choice !!Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

I definitely think it should be legal. I think people with terminal diseases ought to have a civilized way of ending it, with a professional that can make it as peaceful as possible, without having to put a bullet in their head.
Doctors that think it is immoral don't have to do it.
I do think their should be some huge obstacles to let someone die like that, just to prevent a doctor from killing someone and then claiming oh, he wanted me to.Comment
