i am loooking at going to school to beable to for a SALON not head start. i feel that i could make good at it and my wife is willing to pay 80% of the bills while i am in school so that i can get out faster and enjoy a job. ladies can i have some in put and guys remeber you will get banned for flamming!!!

YOU WANT TO STAND ON YOUR FEET ALL DAY DOING HAIR YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO BUILD UP A CLIENT BASE.AND IF YOUR THINKING OF GETTING RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL AND GOING TO THE TOP SALON FORGET BYRON IT DOESNT HAPPEN THAT WAY MAN.MY WIFE HAS BEEN DOINF HAIR NOW FOR 20YRS. JUST LIKE ANYTHING YOU START AT THE BOTTOM. YOU SURE YOU ARE READY YOU WANT TO GIVE UP YOUR DRINKING BECAUSE YOU CANT GO INTO WORK HUNG OVER AND DO HAIR. YOU HAVE TO WORK WEEKENDS, NIGHTS AND MORNINGS.

it the future my wife and i are wanting to open a day spa. thats always been her dream. if i go to school ful time its 42 weeks 5 days a week and 72 weeks part time. i have put lots of thought into i am still at my current job but i feel like its going no were. its sales and our factory can not produce what i sell correcty. i have thought long and hard about this and it will be a few more months before i decide. before this weekend i had not had a beer in over a month i have also droped down to 212lbs wasat 208 but put a little on. like i said tho its gonna take some time to figure out o and i know that i will not be going to a top salon the only reason i would and it woud be a certain one is because the owner cut my hair since i was 4 and i went to highschool with 4 girls who work there.

hell Byron, if you can get a salon or spa rolling there is money in it. My wife does hair too, we actually talked about opening a salon one day as well. Most guys that do hair are gay but not all. If you are a people person it can work for you. Good luck buddy, go get um!

My gf`s cousin runs a hair salon and makes prolly 60K a year and drives a hummer. Not gay at all. But like the F-dog said you really got to work your way up, no hangovers allowed, prepare to start at the bottom, etc.

let her do the hair part and you can go to a message therapy school, that way you have both parts of the spa covered..But If you know this is what you wanna do, do it. Its hard to pick one career path at our age, im in the same boat, but i recently decided to do what will make me the happiest and what ill be happy doing everyday..Imo its worth taking a pay cut and ile your job, rather then dreading waking up every morning. At the same time, be practical.

she has her skin estitics (sp) so she will be doing that part thats the facials, skin ultra sounds things like that. thats her passion so i am not gonna ask her to do something else if shes already doing what she loves the spa thing is about 5-7 years away so what i am ding is looking at the hair thing do it for awhile get clients then at night do the massage threrapy scholl so that we have everything covered and and know all the things to know you can't own a business if you don't know how to operated everything thats going on in it.
