Yeah Unemployment is at an all time low statistically. Statistics also don't say that after a certain period of unemployment those people are cut loose. Also those not collecting unemployment that didn't qualify are not included in those statistics. Furthermore wages are at an all time low. The cost of living is skyrocketing, whereas companies are all downsizing and cutting wages. In my opinion that's not something a president should brag about.

Yes you inlist you die, but that doesn't give politicians the right to make up claims about a country to send out troops in to invade it, to later find out they weren't sure about the claims they made in the first place. Then to find out the real reason was about oil, then somehow miraculously our oil prices have gone to all time highs! Anyone who thinks our government is not taking there oil is a fool! Even Hollywood knows it! Watch Jarhead. Great flick!

Our government openly admitted after the invasion that Osama & Al qaida had no ties with Iraq, and that actually Saddam hated them! Although Saddam was a pompous asss and his sons deserved to die for the atrocities they commited to their own people, that was not our place to play world cops and go and try to dictate to others what they can and can't do.

I'll answer 9 & 10 later. I've got an estimate to go to in 10 minutes!

You know the difference between Sr and Jr is that Sr spent his life in govt service, watching every step to get a step up. Jr had too much handed to him, frankly just didn`t have enough experience to do the job as well as Sr.

Half of his mistakes I don`t blame on his will so much as his inexperience. That`s not an insult! Really. It`s just saying that a person who`s life has been in govt service is more prepared to be prez.

even the birds think bush sucks

                    ABC News
                    Thursday, May 24, 2007

                    WATCH THE VIDEO

ABC's Ann Compton reports: An outdoor news conference in perfect spring weather, with birds chirping loudly in the magnolia trees, is not without its hazards.

As President Bush took a question Thursday in the White House Rose Garden about scandals involving his Attorney General, he remarked, "I've got confidence in Al Gonzales doin' the job."

Simultaneously, a sparrow flew overhead and left a splash on the President's sleeve, which Bush tried several times to wipe off.

Deputy White House Press Secretary Dana Perino promptly put the incident through the proper spin cycle, telling ABC News, "It was his lucky day...everyone knows that's a sign of good luck."

                        Re: JIMMY CARTER

                        Fuzo now that I've got another minute I'll explain 9 & 10.

It has come to the attention of media that the prisoners were being tortured. This is not the type of behavior a country that's trying to set an example for the world should be portraying. We were part of a treaty to ban torture of prisoners.

Being part of a treaty doesn't mean that we have the right to violate it. It means we give our word that we will honor that treaty, just as we expect others to honor said treaty. Perfect example is North Korea. They violated the Nuclear treaty and now we're up in arms about it. Iran is also doing the same and we're threatening war as a possibility.

So why is it that we are allowed to break from treaties but others aren't? That's the time of mindset that will set a world power down real quick. Just look back through history and you will see that all world powers came to an end from being arrogant and full of themselves. Sound familiar? That's exactly the attitude america has and it's putting us in the ****thouse with the rest of the world.

If your going to go from country to country preaching peace, and tell people like Saddam not to torture it's citizens, where does that same country get off torturing people?

Also how would you feel if American soldiers were tortured? Angry right? Well that's how those people feel, so of course there is going to be resentment towards the american occupation of their country.

Btw, here's a link to explain more about the torture treaty.....

As for holding people without charges under the patriot act the government now has the right to hold anyone they THINK is a terrorist indefinitely without charges, or a right to a lawyer. GOOD, your probably saying right?

Well, here's the part that most overlook. According to government documents circulated throughout governmental departments here's just a brief discription of people that can be potential terrorists......
                        1. People with an atlas
                        2. People in blue jeans and a white tshirt (no joke that's in there!)
                        3. People who refer to their consitutional rights when questioned or when they feel their rights have been violated. (what's the point of rights if you aren't allowed to use those rights?)

and the list goes on and on. It's absolutely rididculous. Basically what they are doing is making it so they can detain anyone they feel like detaining without any question or legal recourse. You piss them off, and they hold you indefinitely.

If you don't think they will and do abuse this power, just look back through this countries history at the endless supply of examples of corruption in our government. To think these people have your best interest at heart is a joke. They want to control the public, just like in George Orwell's 1984. And it's happening quicker than you think.

You should be quite pissed that your constitutional rights given to your by our ancestors is being stripped from you chunk by chunk. Your fellow Americans are willingly giving up everything that many have given their life for without so much as a question. Then these same people have the audacity to turn and point the finger at the few that have the balls to stand up to the many and say "Wake the phuck up!"

That's what our ancestors would have wanted us to have done. A true patriot questions his government!

Dave, are you sitting down? I hope so because for the first time you and I are in lock step together on this one. Powell was (is) a total statesman, GB should have never lost him (it`s like the Lakers trading Shaq)

You ask me, first black American president Obama or Powell... Obama is well spoken and pretty cool but... Powell is the international statesman.
