You can get warts any time someone with warts comes into contact with your dick. IE if I girl has them and she touches herself and then jerks you off you can get them.
I have read that up to 2/3 of the sexually active population has HPV, the virus that causes genital warts, and they don't know it because they don't have symptoms. HOWEVER, they can spread it without knowing it!
