I think the only way a true message will be sent is if everyone truly doesn't buy in one day. I don't think there was really enough notice for the protest.

I feel if people knew a week earlier they would have more time to make sure they have plenty of gas so they don't need to fill up that day. I didn't notice any difference in people at gas stations that day. It seemed like just as many people were buying.

well i didnt buy any just to say i went along but guys I will tell you something. Our Government is makign this happen. We have the technology to be self contained and sufficient but we dont, you think we need the oil and **** from the rest of the world. NO, we have the technology to build what are called fuel cell vehicles and the run on hydrogen which is no problem to produce plus the only exaust from it is water and oxygen. Its perfectly clean. I know all this because I have been in the automotive field for 16 years or so. It is reality but there is too much money in the oil for the Government leaders. We could shut out the rest of the world and we would be just fine... Well I can dream cant I....

Rollys I agree with you wholeheartedly! Of course government isn't doing anything about it! Think of how much gas tax they are getting from the dramatically increased prices. Then top that off with those that fund their political campaigns being happy they are getting rich at the expense of american citizens.

It's classic government! Anything to help themselves and big business that has these politicians in their pockets like little puppets!
