We could not ask the unemployed to submit to more than one, because a different standard for the unemployed is discrimanation. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will be on that before the ink dries.

Also, I have seen many people go "clean" for a month or so to beat the employment test, so what is stopping those who would apply for pulic assistance. That is a BIG loophole - and ultimately a wasted expense that will again come out of our taxes. Or it would take money away from other more effective programs.

Unfortunately, I don't think we can do anything about being taxed 4 times for the same product/service either.
Well, my argument would be there are more white people on welfare nationwide than black people so they can shove it up their ass if they think it's discrimination.

I think the smart thing to do would be to do like some jobs and have a drug test and then random drug tests. That way they can issue a random and you have like 48 hours to get the test done or your benefits lapse and you have to start all over again. That's no different that a lot of jobs so it would be completely fair. Besides, if anyone thinks that someone on drugs should get free money then they can kiss my ass! Those people need to get a grip and get their life turned around. Some of them have kids who are malnurished because of their drug use and it pisses me off. Those kids are suffering because of their parent's piss poor choices. And, it sucks because I don't want to see the kids grow up in the system, but is the life they have good for them? I don't know. Would they be better off in a foster system? I don't know. One of my client's wives works in the foster system and he has told me that in some cases, the parent or parents will totally clean up their act when their kids are taken from them and it turns out to be the best thing that could have happened to them. In other cases, it destroys the kids because they usually get sent to different homes and the parents just don't care. So, what's the best thing to do? I would think the best thing would be to look out for the child, that's number one. But what's the best way to do that? It's hard to say. But, if these parents had to get clean to get assistance, that could be a very good thing.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

        Re: Can We Debate This?

bro 90% of people on welfare could not pass a drug test. the 10% left over are the true ones we should be helping. My mother was one of those people when I was really young. She had to go on welfare for a year, but she still worked and gave her check to them and eventually paid them back in full. She was a single mom with three kids and struggled but picked her self up and got out of it.

Now the other 90, need to be taken out and shot or at least made to work labor to pay society for what we give them. We got "meth" epidemic running rampid in every town, city, metropolis, etc in the US. It is incredibly common for these scum to sell their WIK (milk, eggs, etc) and food stamps for pennies on the dollar so they can have cash to score dope or alcohol.

One of the sickess moments of this I've observed was a dirty family standing in front of me in a line at the grocery store...they had every expensive meats and food in the store, they also had a ton of alcohol bottles. They even joked about trading some of their food stamps for cash to by the alcohol. they handed a the clerk a huge wad of food stamps and cash. Mean while I was wondering how I was going to pay for the gallon of milk and bread with no money in the bank because my wife was off work due to illness. Sickening very very sickening...

Props to your Mom, 6p6. That is exactly who we need to be helping. I am all for helping people get back on their feet.

I used to work at a county run pool in the heart of the ghetto when I was in college. These ladies would have 4 and 5 kids and come up to the pool absolutely baked talking about how so and so owes them child support. All that is is laziness. They want all they can get from everyone else but not go out there and help themselves.

Why should they be allowed to sit around all day and smoke weed when we are in all actuallity supporting them. That is bullshyte!!!
