The thing that really ticks me off is that they are making record profits.

I don't know if you guys remember this, but about 6 months ago when prices were at the high $1 low $2 range oil companies said they were going to cut production in half since prices were dropping. I incessantely biitched to my family about this, and said it's unbelieavable people aren't making a big deal that they are coming out and saying they will cut production, specifically to force the price and demand for oil up.

Years from now we'll look back at this whole picture and see that this was these were the most scandolous years this country has ever seen! Corrupt corporations, big business holding hands with politicians, oil companies price gouging, insurance price gouging.

Mark my words this will throw our economy into a spin. My wood prices have jumped more than $5 per sheet. Food has risen dramatically, the price of virtually all tangible products and services has gone up because of gas. Then to top it off insurance is raping us just as bad (atleast here in florida).

Ever since the gas crisis began I noticed my middle income customers dropped out of sight. Now I only get the rich customers. That middle income used to make up 50% of my numbers. F'n gvt!

I couldn't agree with you more!
I can't understand how simple lame ass common people like ourselves can see the writing on the wall and no one cares to do anything about it.
Of course those that can do something about it are the ones making money off of it all.

I know hits wouldn't work for most people but I am goin out this weekend to find a medium priced comfort/touring bicycle to ride to work this summer.
I have a road racing bike but that just won't do on the roads I have to travel. I just can't handle being forceably raped just because I need to drive a vehicle.

Exactly! Wish I could do the same. Unfortunately I need my 8cyl pickup since I haul an average of 2000+ lbs of wood a day. No hybrid is going to haul that kind of load....................Why do I feel like a straw hat, and chewing tobacco just formed in my mouth after making that statement?

Not I don't flame people for their political beliefs but this is absurd. Republicans and Democrats are just as connected to BIG business. Politics in the US have become what our forfathers left their nations for. Its all about the platform. But believe me one platform is someone elses baby.

Look at Gore. He's got this ridiculously huge mansion that uses more electricity then a thousand trailer parks but he's out preaching the global warming, I think his presentations are great but I will never vote for him until he takes the first step. He was down here speaking at ASU and he was charging $70 a ticket! but wait you got a free light bulb when you turned your ticket in....LMAO

We need another Abraham Lincoln that isn't bread or brought up in politics...to bad it will never happen

That whole "gore`s got a big house so global warming is BS" connection is just what big biz wants you to believe.

Don`t vote for Gore if you want to, no problem there. But ALL OF THESE FKERS have huge houses.. it is just a distraction that the media puts foward to make you have a negative opinion about global warming (which is real).

The gas and diesel prices are putting a squeeze on our company. We have 13 trucks on the road that average 150+miles daily. We added a fuel surcharge of $1.00 per delivery and no one complained.
In the other part of our company, the fuel surcharge was $2.00 per delivery.
We heard an outrage form our customers about this. So we took it off and increased the rental for our equipment by $2.00 per month and NO ONE SAID A THING ABOUT IT!!! Go figure!

Don't get me started on the politicians and movie stars and their suggestions for reducing global warming. All I will say here about that is, they are the biggest bunch of hypocrits out there!
