I wear glasses, and I have had an eye surgery. The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

I wear contacts. My mother just had the surgery 5 days ago, and now she will have to wear glasses the rest of her life. So much for going to the best Dr. and paying the most money.

He was supposed to give her Monovision and somehow he messed up and didn't. So now she can't see anything closer than an arms length away. She can't see the numbers on the phone, she can't read her watch,etc....Little things you take for granted. But now she will have to have glasses at all times to be able to see things. It really sucks.

Yeah, she is kinda scared. She doesn't want too seem "sue crazy", but everyone is telling her she deserves it. He has literally ruined her vision for the rest of her life. It can not be repaired.
Sorry to say this, but look at the waiver forms your mom signed before the surgery was performed.
They basically say "I will not hold doctor responsible is my vision is not fixed or becomes worse"
Unless your Mom can prove malpractice (good luck) she doesn't stand much of a chance for a sucessful lawsuit.RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.
