i know my 2nd wedding will not be a big production.... felt like an idiot getting divorced 1.5 years later after the size of the wedding.....

i might not elope, but ti will be small

We had a huge wedding. The reception was on a rooftop uptown which everyone got extremely wasted at. It was a very good time but when it was all said and done my wife's parents had forked out somewhere around $80k and all we had were some pictures and stale wedding cake. If we had it to do over again we would have taken the loot they offered and eloped.

I do agree that weddings are a BIG waste of money. My wife even said that the other day.
As far as eloping, Never did it and never will.

We did it. We were at work one day and round lunch time we just decided to go do it, so we hit Wal-Mart (how redneck is that?) got our wedding bands and headed on over to the courthouse.

not exactly an elope but my wife and I planned a wedding in like a week, her mom and my dad showed up for the vows in beautiful Lake Tahoe (nevada side) and it was quick and painless!
