You have a team of 23 players that are drafted to you and you can trade them, play them and so on throughout the season. Your players accumulate points for hits, runs, rbi's etc...so yes in essense it's a pool.

its a fantasy baseball team...you get your team picked for you by yahoo based on how you rate them...and you gain points in the league based on how players perform in real life....the most points is the winner....(its a short and broad explanation, but I hope it helps!)

Yea, gives you an excuse to follow some baseball stats. IF you're like me, I dont really have a 'favorite' player, but this also gives you an excuse to root for certain players to do well and certain teams to win. Then you get interesting situations like your team having two pitchers going against eachother in a given night, just odd things that entertain you. Its not a massive task to keep up with your team. I have never played with friends and people I have known before, always random nobodies (politely put), but Im sure Aragorn and myself will make it entertaining.....

              I'd like to join

              Aragorn,
cnnsi.com also run fantasy games with prizes at the end of the season. 2 seasons ago I won a Sports Illustrated windbreaker for finishing second. The winner got a TV, coloured at that.
