Hell yeah it is. My dad came back from Nam and was all phuked up in the head and they didn't do anything for him. He eventually killed himself with a 357 when I was 21. Everyone that knew him before and after said he was never the same, ever.

      Re: THE V.A

Here's what I don't understand, we spend hundreds of billions of dollars on military research every year and can't afford to take better care of the men and women who put their lives on the line for freedom. That just makes no sense to me at all. I would be will to bet we would be just fine if we cut back on military reserach by 500 million a year and used if for our Vets. I seriously doubt anyone would get the technological jump on us. Hell, you can watch Futerweapons and see dozens of weapons that we don't even have on the battle field yet. So, why keep coming up with new stuff if we aren't even taking advantage of things we have now. And that's just the stuff the military will let us see, I'm sure there is a slew of secret stuff that we don't know about.

I been to the VA hospital in Portland,..once. a disheartening experience to say the least. a funeral home has better atmosphere than that place. yes it is sad, f***'in bleeding hearts can make sure a criminal is taken care of. clean clothes, hot meals, medical, dental,..and our vets get pissed on ? the disabled and paralyzed vets even send a donation envelope in the mail once a month !!
Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

Man, now you are getting me pissed! I never even thought about the fact that useless members of society are getting better treatment than the men and women who fought for this country.

I just wonder, if the judicial system killed a lot more people....I wonder if that would reduce some crime. I mean think about it, armed robbery, you die, that's a lot worse than doing 5 years. Rape, you die, that's a lot worse than doing 5 years. And that's another thing, how do some of these rapists get out in 5 years on good behavoir and a first time drug dealer can do 10 years. I watched this show the other night and there was a kid doing 20 years for selling drugs. 20 phukin years! He said there were several people who committed man slaughter (which I know is not the same as murder, but they still took a life) and rapist that got out in less time than he would. What the heck is wrong with our system? I'm not trying to down play drugs and what they can do to people, but I can guarantee you that the emotional scarring of a rape victim is worse than the emotional scarring of someone who did drugs. So, who really committed the worse crime, the drug dealer or the rapist? I personally think it would be the rapist. The system needs to be revamped. There needs to be very very stiff penalties for crimes against humans. There is no logic at all in a rapist getting out of jail before a drug dealer. IMO
