    Re: All Inclusive Vacations

We're doing a 7 day western carribean cruise next July. Here's the itinerary:

    1 Galveston, TX 4:00pm
    4 Montego Bay, Jamaica 8:00am 5:30pm
    5 Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands 7:00am 4:00pm
    6 Cozumel, Mexico 9:00am 6:00pm
    8 Galveston, TX 8:00am

    Doesn't get much better, imho.

I have done all-inclusive in Cancun 3 times. Last trip in June I stayed at GR Solaris. It was very nice. The time before that I stayed at Golden Crown Paradise adults only and had a blast there too. Only thing with that one was no swim up bar, but instead a poolside bar.

Just came back from Dreams(all inclusive) in Puerto Vallarta. It's on the Pacific side but it was the best vacation I've ever had. $2100 per couple for everything for 5 days. Food was awesome, service couldn't have been better, and the drinks were strong. Lots of eye candy as well!!!

The wife and I are looking at some all inclusive vacations from Sandals as well. Since we have never been on one we are kind of lost with the whole deal. Hoping to spend under 2K though.

My wife and I stayed at the Riu Palace on the Mayan Riviera. It was unbelievable. The place was immaculate, the service was outstanding and the drinks were very cold. The cool part is we took a trip to Tulum to check out some Mayan ruins one day to pacify me and my loving history. Then the next day we went to Cancun (only an hour away) to Senor Frogs and got wasted to pacify her being younger and wilder than me. I highly recomend Riu Palace as opposed to the other Rius just because as a guest of the Riu you can use any other Resort there but no one else can use the Palace unless they are staying there.

Solid, I am thinking of doing the same thing. Lots of development going on there now. The taxi driver was telling us that you can buy a very nice, 3 to 4 bedroom house, on the beach for less than 100k U.S.. That's pretty incredible. A relative just bought a condo down in the Dominican and he paid over 350k for it..

My Fiancee and I are going to Sandals in Antigua for our honeymoon in October, but that cost me $10k, which includes our own private pool outside our room. I can't wait to go.

                      Re: All Inclusive Vacations

I did one about 7 years ago in Baja. Just fyi don't take kids, Mexico is a hot bed for kidnapping American children right now for ransom. Also another thing about Mexico - THERE IS NO MEDICAL CARE! If you get any injury that could result in possible death if not taken care of plan on dying. A few weeks ago a story came out of a border town about three of our boys going to Mexico for a weekend, they get into an accident with major injuries but they would have been out of the hospital in a few days here in the US. They died, no care no top notch experts, none.

that being said have fun!!! LOL
