FROM THE MAILBAG....
One day a farmer went out and bought a brand new stud rooster for his chicken coop. The new rooster strutted over to the old rooster and said, "Okay old bird, time for you to retire."
The old rooster replied, "Come on, surely you cannot handle ALL of these hens. Look what it has done to me. Can't you just let me have the two old hens over in the corner?"
The young rooster said, "No, beat it: You're washed up and I am taking over."
The old rooster said, "I'll tell you what, young stud. I will race you around the farmhouse. Whoever wins gets the exclusive domain over the entire chicken coop."
The young rooster laughed. "You know you don't stand a chance, old bird. So, just to be fair, I'll give you a head start."
The old rooster took off running. About 15 seconds later the young rooster took off running after him. They came around the front porch of the farmhouse and the young rooster had closed the gap.
He was only about 5 feet behind the old rooster and was gaining fast. The Farmer, meanwhile, was sitting in his usual spot on the front porch when he saw the two roosters running by. The old rooster was squawking, flapping his wings, and running as hard as he could.
When the Farmer saw the two roosters running past him, he grabbed his shotgun and - BOOM!! - he blew the young rooster to bits. The Farmer sadly shook his head and said, "Damn! That's the third gay rooster I bought this month!"
The Moral of this Story?
Don't mess with the someone considerably older than you - Experience, Skill, Wisdom, and a little Treachery will always overcome Youth, Strength, and Arrogance!
