  • Home Gym question

    I think I am going to finish my home gym and I dont know what I should really get so I want everyones opinions of just basic stuff that you think one would need for a home gym. Right now I have dumbbells that go from 5-125lbs and a bench thats flat/declines/inclines and I am going to get a cage, olympic bar, and weights, and other bars but in terms of equipment I am not sure of other stuff to get... I did find a hack squat/leg press that I was thinking about. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it!

    i did the home gym thing for a couple years. if i would of had the hack squat/ leg press, i might not have joined a gym. i just wanted to hit my legs from other angles than just squating. i also didnt have the range of dumbells you have, so you got that coverd. with a cage, and maybe a preacher bench and the leg equip, i'm thinking that about does it. what about for cardio?

      for the cardio I just run in the neighborhood or take the kids in their stroller for walks

        What I have here at home

        - Shwinn Bike
        - 3hp Treadmill
        - Bench press
        - Adjustable press
        - Low row
        - Lat machine
        - Squat holder
        - Dips machine (with the bench...)
        - dumbells
        - olympic bar with 500lbs of plates
        - 1" weights + bars (many different like ez curls etc)
        - legs extension and curls
        three doodoo is back! Hide your women!
