So Diva have you found an S40 yet? I can't wait to hear your response after you test drive a turbo Volvo. They are very very peppy! My wife loves hers because many a ricer has been put to shame by her mighty Volvo. Everytime she wins she'll yell "Ha, you just lost to a VOLVO!!"

It's funny because noone thinks Volvo's are quick. But that is such a wrong stereotype!

seriously, i am truly shocked and sorry that you had a bad experience...not just with ford, but gm as well. i dont get why these guy's dont do that sh!t...all i can say is, i promise, if it'd got to me, it woulda been addressed properly...i sh!t you not!
and, i dont for a minute, assume you think that there is not a soul who ever had a simaler problem, or felt the same in regards to a foriegn dealer, do you?

I do know that Ford owns Volvo, but Volvo also sticks to the same standards that they had long before Ford was around. I'm also willing to bet that Volvo was smart enough to take the positive aspects of Ford and incorporate it into their cars, while leaving out the negative aspects.

I haven't been able to test drive one yet but I'm hoping to soon...mom and I will probably just sneak off one day and do it...although everytime we do that she winds up in a better beamer! hahahaha...

maybe...sounds like a mere guess to me thou. ford does use vovlo powertrains in a few units, but to make things more cost effective for both, they share most componates on each model line, much like ford does with jag, lincoln/mercury, and landrover. i dont know the bleed over of knowledge in regards to volvo. i know ford has a heavy hand in jag, and wouldnt be surprised if they did with volvo as well. (witch would mean that they arent the ones doing the picking and the choosing) the freestyle (2nd ugliest truck/car on the planet) has a complete volvo drivetrain.
