Windows Vista.....

I just bought a new computer this weekend with Widnows Vista on it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has Vista?

Is so has anyone had any problems with it?

I tried to make a back up disk and the computer froze twice. Well not the whole computer, but the entire task bar at the bottom of the screen from the "Start" Menu to the "Time".

When I went into Alt, Cntrl, Delete...under applications it said that backup was not responding. When I tried to end the process it wouldn't end it.

So after two attempts to backup the system, and being locked up twice I called my computer manufacturer. Their tech department had no clue what was wrong so they sent me to Vista tech support. Vista tech support said that is a widespread problem and everyone is calling in about the same thing.

I wondered how true that was, so I figured I'd take a poll to see who else is having problems with vista?

If it wasn't for the problems though, I would like to note that it is very cool and very advanced!

Wow so to ad to the problems, it won't respond when I try to load half of the stuff I own. It just sits there and spins the disk. It's not installing, or doing anything productive. Then the screen freezes for that program and the only way to stop that is again going to the task manager and ending the process!

UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! What a load of crap! Brand new freaking computer and it runs worse than my computer that is half the speed, and 2+ years old!

HP + Windows Vista = Really crappy products and combination!!!!!!

i just got an email from microsoft with a free vista update...i just deleted that puppy. they can keep their lackluster of an OS.

After five years MS produced another product that needs years of more work. User control center is a nightmare. Vista would be great if it worked. It still has about 2k bugs left in it.

Well bro..you do know that all these "new" products are defected in some way .. thats why you should'off waited a few more months until they resolve all these bugs, errors, etc..

Yeah I think your right. My wife said the same thing. I'm probably going to take it back to the store. I didn't pay this type of money for such a pile of dung!
