Oh yeah one important thing: SSRI's like lexapro can RUIN your sex life. I could not "finish" like normal. just a FYI

Does that St. John's wort really work? I'm a bit skeptical of OTC 'mood' or 'memory' enhancers. I realize it's used widely in some European countries.

The sex issues are main reason why I've not yet jumped on an anti. I am considering Wellbutrin as it's supposedly one of the anti's least likely to negatively affect the libido and can oftentimes actually increase it.

I'm pretty much this way all the time too. There are always bad days where I'll get down and crap but just a little sensible thinking on my part usually clears that up.

Yep, I go through it when I get stressed. It comes and goes. Some years I get it a lot and some years I don't get it much at all. I think it's just something some people go through. But, I get 5 HPT and that usually kicks it out.

I get down once in awhile but never depressed so to speak...But I have never taken life to seriously and DO BELIEVE its a hormone, chemical problem and is an indivdual thing...I dated a girl who fought it all the time. Paxil helped but made her tired all the time so it was one trade off for another.... I hope its just a short lived thing and your back to normal bro...good luck and you got some good advice in this thread bro.

I don't stay depressed, it just kinda comes and goes and when that shiit comes it hits hard. Is there such thing as cyclical depression? And no, I'm not "on" right now and haven't just come off either. I don't know, maybe it's just stress.
I feel this exact way bro, I believe this is the life of the middle class bro, our life hangs on by threads so much affects our balance.

Many of the ppl in these postitons being laid off in the mid-west, especially in states where vehicles are produced, there is a trickle down effect and these ppl will find it very hard to find thentype of pay they are used to getting. Where does a line worker find a job paying 25-30. hr after being permenantly laid off, lol? Western states like Arizona, Colorado, etc have actually economic growth especially in the real estate sectors. Very dif there then in the upper mid-west where many rely on the auto industry as its main source of business structure.
Umm, did you mean to post this in the Great Depression thread?

Yeah, it works for me if I take more than the bottle says. I take 900mgs St. Johns Wort on crappy days. Could be a placebo effect but doubt it. I seem a little more relaxed and happy when I take it. I have also thought about going on wellbutrin because of their love life friendly claim. Let me know if you do and what the scoop is on it!
