well, i'd say you are maturing

I look at it this way, well, byron has had a tough time for 4-6 months,

and not ONCE noe ONCE at all has he

        1. posted poor me *****ing posts
        2. gotten drunk off his ass
        3. gotten on here and ranted how other folks in life are messed up

listen to all the posts, print out testrips post, i go thru this stuff with clients all the time

be thankful for what you have, not what you don't have

you have a great wife, a great family, your health, and some debt

it's good to learn the debt lesson now, than at 50, of which i have other clients that have that problem, and trust me byron, that is not a problem you want to have at 50, it's a gift to have it at 23-24

you're doing good man, much better than u think

Re: i have nt posted about any of my problems in a long time!!!but

ok bryon sorry i jacked your thread... like kite said there is allot of good advice here .... i was in a pretty long marriage and i remember times when we almost had to eat ketchup sandwiches to survive and yes it put a strain on things but like the vows say through good times and bad times sickness and heath.... to many people know a days quite i think Hollywood has really influenced the way people are now a days they see movie stars get married for week and call it quits it has almost become the norm.... i know now with all i have learned the relationship i am in now with lily i try my best not to think so much money and material things and i just enjoy life itself and the good things that come with it.. if you work hard and love your wife and treat each other the way you both would want to be treated everything else will fall into place

Re: i have nt posted about any of my problems in a long time!!!but

Byron my man, you think you are scared? Well, you should be....but....there is hope for those who persevere. My wife and I lived in an apratment until our son was almost born. I bought a home, started a whole new career (self employeed), my wife stopped working and my son was born all within one month. You want to talk about stress, that's stress. 1/2 our income just went away, our bills just increased, I had no idea if this job would work or not but I did it anyways. The main thing that I think that kept us going was prayer. To some people, that's silly, well for us it kept us above water. I've met hundreds of appraisers since I've been doing this and not one of them ever took off as fast as I did, not one. I honestly give all the credit to God because I really didn't do anything. I called one guy that knew was a mortgage broker from the gym business and told him I was an appraiser. He said to come by and meet the staff. My very first month I did 16 appraisals.

Now, you asked what we do in times like these, we rely on God. There are some things in this world that are out of your control and if you try to control them it will drive you nuts. But, the things you do have control over, like financial desicions, I suggest you talk to someone on how to make better ones. You should have at least 3 months of savings saved up for an emergency. I know, because when I tore my Achilles I had about 2 1/2 months saved up and I've almost used it all up. It sucks to think it's almost gone, but that's what it's there for. Had I not had that, we would have been in deep crap. Even if you have to work 3 jobs, then work 3 jobs. It's only temporary bro. You do what you have to and that's that. I know your pain, I went through that went I got cut loose from the health club industry. I didn't have my appraisal license yet so I was trying to make money doing loans and that's not a very steady pay check. But, I did what I had to until I got my feet under me. That's what you are going to have to do. But, it never hurts to spend a little time each day on your knees talking to God.

Anyways, good luck bro and just think about what's most important and do the things tl make sure you take care of what ever that is to you. For me, it's my family, that's number one. My primary goal is to make sure I can provide for them.

great advice here byron. me and my wife started with nothing but eachother, and determination not to let it (tuff times) get between us. i've been forclosed on (i saved it) repo'd (saved it again) and had utilities turned off (lots of candle light dinners, lol). it's part of life bro...it'll either kill you two, or make you stronger...you gotta roll with it, try to make the very best decissions poss. and lean on eachother. i never showed my wife the doom and gloom. i'm a glass 1/2 full guy, positive thinking is a wonderful thing...it'll all be fine, you watch.

I AGREE...MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE AND LIFT EACH OTHER UP AND WORK TOGETHER. THERES NOTHING WORSE THAN STRESS ON A RELATIONSHIP THAN MONEY OR LACK THEREOF.

KEEP YOUR CHIN UP BYRON, IT WILL GET BETTER. WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER

That's what I'm talking about! Dave is a perfect example of the do what you have to do attitude. He's a roll with the punches kind of guy and don't ever count him out because he's going to land on his feet no matter what. It's all about attitude bro. I know right now it seems like a lot, but just listen to David and AOM, these guys have been down that road enough times they know half the people on the block. Seriously, guys like AOM and David and others on here just have that attitude, the attitude of "give me your best shot, I ain't going anywhere". This situation is going to be one of those that shapes yoru character. This situation is going to make you and your wife stronger. Look at it like an opportunity to show her what you are made of. I don't mean to not show your emotions, I mean to show her that no matter what, you will find a way. And you will, I have a ton of confidence in you bro. Look at all the things you've changed in your life over the last two years, this is just another stepping stone to a better Byron.
