A known fact when you live up north is either you have a set of summer rims/tires & winter rims/tires, or you have a summer car and a winter beater. Sucks but atleast it's not to expensive of a lesson, and most of all it's good you didn't get hurt!

Out of curiosity how well did it crash? And how fast were you going?
bro ihave the stock tires as well from the factory but they called in for one inch and i never changed em since its one inch and how fast was i going?????????????????????????? i was at a dead stop for 15 seconds when the car started to slide slowly sideway and fell in the ditch and by the time the lexus pulled me out, and other car slide too..i lucked out that i never got him....its only the right side skirt from the inside..u cant see it from the outside..i will glue it togetehr 2nite..

Re: FOOCKING SNOW AND MY CAR

hey bro i know you love your car so here is some great advice get another set of wheels for the winter. like a set of 17's or 16's then get some bridgstone blizzaks. with these on the ice is no match for you. my friend had them on his m3 and drove no problems threw the midwest ice storms. it's a small price to pay for safety and to not damage your car

I was just curious as to the speed you were going, and the damage caused at that speed when you went in the ditch. Mainly I was curious because my wife's bimmer (that she got rid of) rear ended a Honda CRV going less than 5mph and it mangled the front fender. Kind of scarey to see that much damage at that low of a speed. They say it's because it crumples to absorb the shock, but at that speed it was extreme crumbling! So I wondered if Mercedes would crash the same.

As for your tires 1 inch or not, I would have a seperate pair of tires that were for winter driving (Snow, Ice, Slush) that would go on at the start of the season, and come off at the end of the season. It's better safe than sorry. Just my opinion, but then again opinions are like asssholes, everyone's got one! HAHAHA!

Seriously though good thing your not hurt!
