  • Slipped down my stairs this morning

I was in bed with my chic this morning when the power went out. I didnt know if someone was messing with my electric box or what. Turns out a tree fell and they had to cut the power for an hour. I jumped into my flip flops, threw on a shirt and went running down the stairs to see what was up. Well it froze last night. Not good.

Next thing I know my feet are literally up in the air in front of me and the back of my head hits the top stair followed by my back and ass. I managed to slide down to almost the bottom stair when my arm got stuck in the railing and stopped me. Fawking hurt.

I come back in all wet, breathing hard, with a bleeding arm. I think Im ok, kinda sore all over and my neck hurts.

Yeah I think Im ok. Just ache.

I just moved into a new apartment in the same complex (got a bigger place) and havent hooked up my electricity yet. Im trying to find a better company than the one Im with now. So since I've been here for about a week, my first though was they had come to turn off my juice.

You live in an apartment complex? How are you going to get another electricity company? I'm not busting your balls at all bro, I'm just trying to understand how that would work because during construction, the entire complex 'should' be on the same lines, which would make it impossible for there to be more than one electric company. I'm just asking because I'm taking a class on construction to better myself as a real estate appraiser and from what I've learned so far it seems like you couldn't have more than one electric company in the same complex. But, if you can, I'm actually interested in knowing how. Like I said, not busting your balls, just trying to understand how something like that could work from a functional point perspective. Thanks.

In certain places in Texas they allow the consumer to choose thier electric provider.

Its funny how they are like that but if the opposite would have happened you know it would be a different story, if you would have laughed at her your ass would be grass. Oh well cant kill them, and you cant kill them...or something like that LOL

In Massachusetts we can do that too - the local utility, which is referred to in that instance as the "distribution company", stays the same - you can't change who that is but you can choose which "generation company" you buy the power from, also referred to as a "competitive supplier".

Since I can't edit or add - glad you're OK. Go get checked though if you're still hurting after a few days.
