Well that's because it's the middle class ferrari. It's basically the exotic car that the average american can afford.

And after owning a couple of them now myself, there is just something about owning a corvette. Whenever you pass another corvette on the road you wave. I know it sounds stupid, but it just means something to a lot of their owners. To me it symoblizes my pride, american pride, and just sends a message. Very hard to describe it.

I recently was trying to decide whether to get an infiniti or another corvette...ended up getting another C5. Someday I will get a ZR-1 or at least Z06

But almost, I just wouldnt buy a vette off ebay. Got to see it and learn about the car and owner in person.

I hear ya! My parents had all kinds of vette's. My dad had a '77 and a '78 pace car and then he bought my mom an '84 and eventually sold all of them off except the '78 and bought a '95. So I know what you mean. Eventually I too will buy a vette. But family comes first for me.
