Yesterday, my wife and I spent the whole day out and about. Went to lunch, then a movie, did some shopping, etc... Before we headed home, we decided on grabbing a bite to eat. Well, we happened to wonder across a place in Honolulu called OnJin's Cafe. Great food, awesome atmosphere but the prices were fairly expensive. Nonetheless, we stayed and enjoyed a great dinner. When it came time to pay our bill, our waiter informed us that our bill had been paid by an elderly gentlemen sitting near the entrance of the restuarant. When I asked where he was sitting, the waiter told me that he had already left. He mentioned that the gentlemen once served as a Corpsman in the Navy and noticed that I looked like I was in the military and wanted to pay my bill in gratitude for my service to our country. My wife and I were completely overwhelmed with appreciation and gratitude. The worst thing about the whole incident is that I can't recall what the guy looked like, nor, more importantly, I wasn't able get his name!? So whomever that gentlemen was - THANK YOU and Semper Fidelis.
